Taiwanese photography is deeply rooted in the country's unique and rapidly changing history. Its early photography is often divided into two periods: Pre-Japanese from approximately 1858 to 1895, and an Era of Japanese Influence, from 1895 to 1945, the year the Japanese rule of Taiwan ended. Many photographs from the period during which Taiwan was under Japanese rule have been preserved as postcards. Much of the pre-Japanese era photography was conducted by foreign missionaries and merchants.

About half of his photographs were events staged by López designed to capture the reactions of bystanders. Although he was an active photojournalist for less than a decade in the 1950s, he was influential to the generations of photojournalists that followed him, with a collection of about 33,000 images now at the federal photograph archive in Pachuca, Hidalgo.

Fabulous 30 is a 2014 Taiwanese television series produced by Sanlih E-Television. Starring Vivi Lee, Ling Hung, Albee Huang, Danson Tang, Darren and Hans Chang as the main cast. The Chinese title literally translates to "Woman 30 Love Dancing Water", which is in reference to the three main female characters. Filming took place from January 3, 2014 till May 24, 2014 and was filmed as the drama aired. First original broadcast began February 11, 2014 on SETTV channel airing weekly from Monday till Friday at 8:00-9:00 pm. Final episode was aired on May 27, 2014 with 76 episodes total.

Daniel Han Kuo-yu is a Taiwanese politician. He was a member of the Legislative Yuan from 1993 to 2002, representing a portion of Taipei County for three terms. He later became general manager of Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation. In 2017, Han contested the Kuomintang chairmanship, losing to Wu Den-yih. Han was elected Mayor of Kaohsiung in November 2018, and became the first Kuomintang politician since Wu in 1998 to hold the office. He was the KMT candidate for the 2020 Taiwanese presidential election, but lost to Tsai Ing-wen. On 6 June 2020, Han was successfully recalled from his position as mayor and officially stepped down on 12 June.
Who Killed Cock Robin is a 2017 Taiwanese neo-noir crime thriller film, written and directed by Cheng Wei-hao. The film follows a journalist who unravels a series of mysteries as he investigates a long-forgotten hit-and-run accident that occurred nine years ago. It also marked Cheng's second collaboration with Hsu Wei-ning, after The Tag-Along. The film also stars Kaiser Chuang, Ko Chia-yen, Christopher Lee and Mason Lee. It was released on March 31, 2017 in Taiwan.
