Kona Venkat ( born 19 February 1965) is an Indian screenwriter and producer known for his works in Telugu and Hindi cinema. [1] [2] [3] He is known for his works in box office hits such as Alludu Seenu , Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi , Baadshah , Dookudu , Adhurs , Ready , Dhee , Venky , Geethanjali , Happy , Samba , Ninnu Kori and Jai Lava Kusa and has recently completed 50 films and 20 years in the film industry. He started his journey in the film industry in 1997, and, before making his debut as a full-fledged screenwriter in 2003, he has worked as a "telugu dubbing" writer for Hindi films such as Satya, Dil Se.., Kaun, Mast, Jungle, Company, etc.

Geethaanjali is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language horror film directed by Priyadarshan and written by Abhilash Nair, with dialogue by Dennis Joseph. Though promoted as spin-off of the 1993 film Manichitrathazhu, it was an adaptation of the 2007 Thai film Alone which was loosely based on the novel Elephants Can Remember. Mohanlal reprises his role from Manichitrathazhu and Suresh Gopi appears in a cameo role. It also features Keerthy Suresh, Nishan, Siddique, Madhu, Swapna Menon, Innocent, and K. B. Ganesh Kumar. It is produced by MVV Sathyanarayana under the Banner MVV Cinema. The music is composed by Praveen Lakkaraju and cinematography is by Sai Sriram and the film editing by Chota K. Prasad. The film was a remake of 2010 Hindi film Phas Gaye Re Obama.

Ninnu Kori is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy drama film directed by debutant Shiva Nirvana from a screenplay written by Kona Venkat. Produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainments, the film stars Nani, Nivetha Thomas and Aadhi Pinisetty while Murali Sharma and Tanikella Bharani play supporting roles. Gopi Sunder composed the music. Prawin Pudi and Karthik Ghattamaneni are the editor and cinematographer of the film respectively.

Nishabdham (transl. Silence) is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language mystery film directed by Hemant Madhukar and co-produced by Kona Venkat and T. G. Vishwa Prasad. The film stars R. Madhavan, Michael Madsen, Anushka Shetty, Anjali, Shalini Pandey and Subbaraju. Although the film was intended to have no dialogues, it was simultaneously shot in Tamil as Silence. The film is released along with the dubbed versions in Malayalam and Kannada languages, through Amazon Prime Video on 2 October 2020.

<i>Thalli Pogathey</i> (film) 2021 Indian film

Thalli Pogathey is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film directed and produced by R. Kannan. It is a remake of 2017 Telugu-language film Ninnu Kori written by Shiva Nirvana. This film stars Atharvaa, Anupama Parameswaran and Amitash Pradhan. The film is produced by R. Kannan himself under the banner Masala Pix, in association with MKRP Productions. Gopi Sunder, who was the composer for original film, composed music for the film also. Selva RK and N Shanmuga Sundaram are the editor and cinematographer, respectively. Raj Kumar murugesan is the art director. The title is inspired by the song of the same name from Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016). The film released on 24 December 2021. The film received mixed reviews from critics with criticism for Anupama's performance, writing, emotional weight and characterization but with praise for Atharvaa's performance, cinematography, score and production design.
