Warangal is a city in the Indian state of Telangana. It is the second largest city in Telangana with a population of 830,281 per 2011 Census of India, and spreading over an 406 km2 (157 sq mi). Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. The monuments left by the Kakatiyas include fortresses, lakes, temples and stone gateways which, in the present, helped the city to become a popular tourist attraction. The Kakatiya Kala Thoranam was included in the emblem of Telangana by the state government and Warangal is also touted as the cultural capital of Telangana.
Hanumakonda is a City in Greater Warangal and the district headquarters of Hanamkonda district in the Indian state of Telangana. It is governed by Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation.
Alwal is a major locality in Secunderabad city, and a suburb of Hyderabad. Earlier, Alwal was a part of Malkajgiri Mandal but in 2006, Alwal Municipality was merged into Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Ponnala Lakshmaiah is an Indian politician, who served as the minister for Information Technology and Communications for the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. He was also a member of the legislature assembly of Andhra Pradesh, and a member of the All India Congress Committee. He was named president of the newly created Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on 11 March 2014. Ponnala Lakshmaiah served four terms in the Assembly from the Jangaon Constituency in Warangal District.
Kulpakji also Kolanupaka Temple is a 2,000 year-old Jain temple at the village of Kolanupaka in Aler City, Yadadri district, Telangana, India. The temple houses three idols: one each of Lord Rishabhanatha, Lord Neminatha, and Lord Mahavira. The image of Lord Rishabhanatha, carved of a green stone has been historically famous as "Manikyaswami". The temple is about 80 km from Hyderabad on the Hyderabad-Warangal Highway NH 163. It is also called as Jivitswami.
