Koonur or Kunoor or Kunur is a village in Jangaon district of Telangana, India. [1] It falls under Zaffergadh mandal with pin code 506143. Erstwhile part of Warangal district and migrated to Jangaon district during new state reorganization process. The village has history of close to 150 years predominantly ruled by Brahmin section until during the independent and post independent era.
Kunur has a rich history on vaishnava culture with 100+ years old Ranganayaka temple (lord Vishnu sleeping on Adiseshu). The Temple was built by Nellutla Ventakeshwara Rao, later managed by his son, Nellutla Varavara Rao. Post Shri Vara Vara Rao's demise the Temple Trustee was managed by his daughter in law (Mrs. Vakula Devi Nellutla) and his grand children. In 1919 the Temple was constructed by Shri Venkateshwara Rao garu, he dreamt that lord Ranganayaka has told his whereabouts and ordered Venkateshwara Rao to find him and build a temple. Next day Morning Venkateshwara Rao along with some of the villagers searched for Ranganayaka statue as per the clues left by lord himself in the dream. they found the Satue on the banks of rivulet (Vaagu in telugu) passes between Kunur village and Uppugallu village. Shri Venkateshwara Rao garu constructed the temple with his own funds and dedicated his whole life in sannidhi of lord Raganayaka.

The Reddi kingdom or Kondavidu Reddi kingdom was a kingdom that exited from 1325 to 1448 CE in southern India. Most of the region that was ruled by the kingdom is now part of modern-day central Andhra and Rayalaseema. It was established by Prolaya Vema Reddi in 1325.

Ramappa Temple, also known as the Rudreshwara temple, is a Kakatiya style Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, located in Palampet village, Mulugu district, Telangana, India. It is 15 km (9.3 mi) from Mulugu, 66 km (41 mi) from Warangal, 209 km (130 mi) from Hyderabad. An inscription in the temple says it was constructed in the year 1213 CE by Recharla Rudra Reddy—a general of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva. Located in the vicinity of Ramappa Lake, the Ramappa Temple complex which consist of three temples was constructed between 1212 and 1234, designed and architect by Ramappa—after whom the temple complex is named. Marco Polo, during his visit to the Kakatiya empire, supposedly called the temple "the brightest star in the galaxy of temples". In July 2021, Ramappa Temple was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Boianapalli Vinod Kumar is an Indian politician and former Member of Parliament, he served as Vice-chairman of Telangana State Planning Board (2019-2023). He represented the Karimnagar constituency of Telangana State in the 16th Lok Sabha (2014-2019) and Hanamkonda constituency in the 14th Lok Sabha (2004-2009). He is one of the founding members of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party and is presently a politburo member and served as party's deputy Floor Leader in the 16th Lok Sabha.
Zaffergadh is a village and a mandal in Jangaon district of Telangana state in India. Zaffergadh got its name from a Muslim ruler Zaffarudhaula who made this place capital of his dynasty. Zaffergadh Mandal (Headquarters) is 16 km from Ghanpur (Station) and well connected with roads. Zaffergadh is about 130 km from Hyderabad.
