Lieutenant General Koos Bisschoff SD SM MMM is a former artillery officer who served as Chief of Staff Planning in the SADF
He was born in the Cape Province and matriculated from Trompsburg High School before joining the SA Army Gymnasium.
He studied at the South African Military Academy from 1958 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Military Science from Stellenbosch University. He was an instructor at the School of Artillery & Armour. He served as Directing Staff at the Army College. Cmdt Bisschoff was the Chief Instructor Staff Duties. Chief Military Instructor at the Military Academy in 1972-1973. He was promoted to rank of colonel in 1973 and served as Officer Commanding School of Artillery [1] from 1973 - 1976. He saw action in the Border War as a Sector Commander. He was promoted to brigadier in 1980. Commandant Army College, OC North Western Command. He was promoted to major general in 1986. Inspector General SA Army in 1986. GOC Eastern Transvaal during 1987-1989. He was promoted to lieutenant general in 1990. Chief of Staff Operations of the staff of the Chief of the Defence Force from 1990-1992 and finally as Chief of Staff Planning from 1992-1993. [2] until retirement in 1993. He died in 2009.

Anthony Neville Howell is a retired Rear Admiral of the South African Navy. After completing school at Fish Hoek High School in 1964, he joined the Navy in 1965. He was Communications Officer on the SAS Maria van Riebeeck, and served in SAS Emily Hobhouse as Detection and Weapons Officer, First Lieutenant. He commanded the submarine SAS Maria van Riebeeck from 1970-1980. From 1981 to 1983. Director Naval Personnel Plans at Naval HQ during 1986-1989. He was the Officer Commanding South African Naval College from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 he was promoted to Commodore and appointed Chief of Naval Staff Plans. In 1998 he was appointed Director Naval Acquisition before being promoted to rear admiral on 1 April 1999 with appointment as Chief Director Maritime Warfare. He retired from the Navy on 31 July 2001
