The Korea Brain Research Institute (KBRI) is a research institute in South Korea. Core facilities include the Korea Brain Bank [1] [2] and lab animal centers. [3] The KBRI is an affiliated institute of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology.
Legally enacted in 1998 through the Brain Research Promotion Act,the preliminary feasibility survey took place in 2007. Daegu was selected in 2011 and construction was completed in 2014. [4]
The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is a national research university located in Daedeok Innopolis,Daejeon,South Korea. Korea Train eXpress (Korean: 한국고속철도),often known as KTX,is South Korea's high-speed rail system,operated by Korail. Construction began on the high-speed line from Seoul to Busan in 1992. KTX services were launched on April 1,2004.
Yeungnam University is a private research university located in Gyeongsan,North Gyeongsang,South Korea. The university's predecessors,Taegu College and Chunggu College,were founded in Daegu in 1947 and 1950 respectively. In 1967,the two colleges were merged by President Park Chung Hee to form Yeungnam University. In 1972,the university's new main campus opened in Gyeongsan east of Daegu. The university includes colleges of Law and Medicine as well as a university hospital. Stairway to Heaven is a 2003 South Korean television series starring Choi Ji-woo,Kwon Sang-woo,Shin Hyun-joon,and Kim Tae-hee. It aired on SBS from 3 December 2003 to 5 February 2004 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 20 episodes. The title of the show comes from the Led Zeppelin song of the same name,which is frequently used in the underscore.

Choi Kyoung-hwan is a South Korean politician who was a member of the National Assembly of South Korea in the Hannara Party. He represented the Gyeongsan-Cheongdo region of North Gyeongsang Province. Choi has promised to work for the extension of Daegu Subway Line 1 beyond the borders of Daegu to Gyeongsan,and to expand the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology. Choi was the acting Prime Minister from 27 April 2015 to 18 June 2015,following the departure of Lee Wan-koo.

The Gyeongbu high-speed railway,also known as Gyeongbu HSR,is South Korea's first high-speed rail line from Seoul to Busan. KTX high-speed trains operate three sections of the line:on 1 April 2004,the first between a junction near Geumcheon-gu Office station,Seoul and a junction at Daejeonjochajang station north of Daejeon,and a second between a junction at Okcheon station,southeast of Daejeon,and a junction near Jicheon station,north of Daegu entered service;then on 1 November 2010,the third section,between a junction west of Daegu and Busan became operational. The missing gaps across the urban areas of Daejeon and Daegu were in construction for an expected opening in 2014,separate tracks into Seoul Station were also planned. The temporary ends of the three sections were connected to the parallel conventional Gyeongbu Line by tracks that will serve as interconnector branches upon the completion of the entire line. On 1 August 2015,construction on urban areas of Daejeon and Daegu were completed;all the sections of HSR line were connected.

He is SNU distinguished professor in the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Seoul National University,director of Center for Nanoparticle Research of Institute for Basic Science (IBS),and an associate editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
Hello Venus was a South Korean girl group formed by Tricell Media. The group originally consisted of:Alice,Nara,Lime,Yooara,Yoonjo and Yooyoung. They debuted with the lead single "Venus" from their debut extended play of the same name on 9 May 2012. In July 2014,Fantagio and Pledis ended their Tricell Media joint ventures. Yooara and Yoonjo remained under Pledis,with the other four members continuing their group activities under Fantagio. In October 2014,Fantagio introduced two new members:Seoyoung and Yeoreum. The group officially disbanded in 2019,after all the members' contracts expired. The group is most notable for songs such as:"Sticky Sticky","Wiggle Wiggle" and "I'm Ill".
Lee Sung-min is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his supporting roles on television and film,notably his much-praised performances in Golden Time (2012),Broken (2014),Misaeng:Incomplete Life (2014),and Reborn Rich (2022). Lee has also received critical acclaim for his role in the 2018 espionage film The Spy Gone North,for which he won Best Actor at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology is a public science and engineering university located on Daegu Technopolis,Daegu,South Korea. DGIST is one of the four public universities in South Korea dedicated to research in science and technology,along with KAIST,GIST,UST,and UNIST. Under the Special Act on Support of Scientists and Engineers for Strengthening National Science and Technology Competitiveness,the Korean government enacted the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology Act and founded DGIST in 2004 as a research institute. In 2008,the act was amended to extend the role of the institute to both research and education,which eventually enabled a transition from research institute to university for DGIST.

The Institute for Basic Science is a Korean government-funded research institute that conducts basic science research and relevant pure basic research. Comprising approximately 30 research centers with more than 60 research groups across the nation and a headquarters in Daejeon,IBS has approximately 1,800 researchers and doctoral course students. Around 30% of the researchers are from countries other than South Korea. The organization is under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The Korea Science Award (Korean: 한국과학상) is an award presented to South Koreans and Korean scientists working in domestic universities or research positions. It is currently jointly presented by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea. Research achievements are limited to that of a single project conducted in Korea. Potential recipients go through a several stage review which includes consolation with foreign scholars.
Changjoon Justin Lee is an American neuroscientist specializing in the field of glioscience. He served as the Director of Center for Neuroscience at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology and later founded the WCI Center for Functional Connectomics as part of the World Class Institute Program. In 2015,he established the Center for Glia-Neuron Interaction before becoming co-director of the IBS Center for Cognition and Sociality and head of the Cognitive Glioscience Group in 2018. He has been on the editorial boards of the journals Molecular Brain and Molecular Pain and is a chief editor of Experimental Neurobiology.
Suh Pann-Ghill is a South Korean neuroscientist. He has served as a professor and vice president for research at UNIST and the third president of the Korea Brain Research Institute.
