The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Bruce B. Bates Women's Hockey Coach is former RIT player and captain Celeste Brown.

The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) was a women's professional ice hockey league in the United States and Canada that operated from March 2015 until June 2023. The league was established in 2015 as the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), comprising four league-owned teams. Over time, some teams gained independent ownership and the number of teams grew to seven; teams during the league's final season in 2022–23 included the Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale, Metropolitan Riveters, Minnesota Whitecaps, Montreal Force, and Toronto Six. The Isobel Cup was awarded annually to the league playoff champion.
The Boston Pride was a professional women's ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They were one of the four charter franchises of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). The Pride played at Warrior Ice Arena, which is also the practice facility for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. The Pride won the inaugural Isobel Cup in 2016 and became the first professional women's ice hockey team to win three championship titles when they claimed consecutive victories in 2021 and 2022.
The Buffalo Beauts were a professional ice hockey team in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). They played in Amherst, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, at the Northtown Center.
The Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy Cup, often shortened to Isobel Cup, is the championship trophy that was awarded annually to the now defunct Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) playoff winner. The trophy is named after Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy, the daughter of Lord Stanley—former Governor-General of Canada and namesake of the Stanley Cup—and one of the first women known to play the game of ice hockey.
Courtney Burke is an American ice hockey defenseman. She was drafted fourth overall by the Buffalo Beauts during the 2015 NWHL Draft for the inaugural season of the National Women's Hockey League. In 2011, she helped the United States women's national under-18 ice hockey team win gold at the IIHF World Women's U18 Championships and silver at the 2012 tournament. She was part of the Metropolitan Riveters team that captured the Isobel Cup in 2018.

Lindsay Grigg is a women’s ice hockey player. Having played at the NCAA level with the RIT Tigers women's ice hockey program, she was a member of the Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League during the 2015–16 NWHL season, the first in league history. Grigg has also competed for the Canada women's national inline hockey team. For the 2016–17 season, Grigg has signed a contract to play with the HV71 club, part of Sweden's Riksserien league.
Emily Janiga is an American ice hockey player currently playing for the Metropolitan Riveters in the Premier Hockey Federation.

Maddie Elia is an ice hockey player from Lewiston, New York. During the 2018–19 NWHL season she was the league's scoring leader and was named NWHL Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Corinne Buie is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps in the NWHL. She has won the Clarkson Cup once and the Isobel Cup twice.
Carly Jackson is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender, currently playing in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) with PWHL Toronto.
Devon Skeats is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward, who played for the Markham Thunder of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) and the Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), winning both an Isobel Cup and a Clarkson Cup.
