Kris Shakes (born April 27, 2001) is an American soccer player who plays for New Mexico United in the USL Championship. [1]

Career

Youth

As part of the Philadelphia Union Academy, Shakes played high school soccer at YSC Academy in Chester, Pennsylvania. [2]

College

He played collegiality for Penn State Nittany Lions. As a freshman he earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2019 and, as a sophomore, All-Conference Second Team honors in 2020. [3] Shakes was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year following the 2023 season. [4]

Professional career

Shakes signed his first professional contract with New Mexico United on February 27, 2024, and made his debut on March 23 versus the Charleston Battery. [5] [6] [7]
