Kristy Sarah Scott (born May 17, 1995) is an American social media personality, digital creator, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. [4] In 2023, Scott was recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for social media influencers. [5]

Background and education

Scott graduated from the University of Houston, with the degree of Bachelor of Computer Information Systems at the age of 20. [6]

Career

Following her graduation from university, Scott worked as an IT engineer. She left working in the ICT industry to pursue social media content creation full time. She began her content creating career by posting videos alongside her husband and kids. [7] Her content focuses on family oriented fun and reactions, and home design, aesthetics and renovation. [6] [8] [9] [10] She became very popular with her videos on social media. One video shows her tricking her husband with a cake that looks like a chicken, and another video shows her making a playhouse for her kids. [11] [12] [13] In North America, she was included in the Forbes 30 under 30 social media category. [5] [6]

Scott released her personalized planner in a collaborative effort with notebook maker North + Third. [14] The planner, which was a 6-month, 174-page scheduling format, included pages for setting goals, bucket lists, managing ones projects, budgeting; alongside the conventional weekly and monthly pages of the calendar. She and her husband were guests at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards that were held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on 3 April 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. [17]

Personal life

She married Desmond Scott in 2014. Together, they have two sons. [18]

There is evidence that TikTok has down-weighted the posts of topics deemed sensitive by the Chinese government and Chinese Communist Party. Topics alleged to have been censored by the platform include the Uyghur genocide, the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests, the Sino-Indian border dispute, foreign political leaders, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, and Black people. TikTok has also removed or omitted information from its services to comply with company policies, legal demands, and government censorship laws. TikTok's responses to claims of censorship have varied, responding that the platform was attempting to protect users from bullying, arguing that certain instances were the result of human error, and stating that such incidents were the result of algorithmic mistakes.

The accounts promote hate speech and transphobia, and spread false claims, especially relating to medical care of transgender children. Ong is best known for the "Step Chickens," a self-described online cult formed after Ong released a TikTok video in a chicken costume satirizing tropes in pornography.
