Krylvika Bight is a southern lobe of the Fimbul Ice Shelf, indenting the coast of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, for about 30 nautical miles (60 km) between Båkeneset Headland and Trollkjelneset Headland. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Krylvika (the hump bay), probably in association with nearby Krylen Hill. In geography, a bight is a bend or curve in a coastline, river, or other geographical feature. It typically indicates a large, open bay, often only slightly receding. It is distinguished from a sound by being shallower. Traditionally, explorers defined a bight as a bay that could be sailed out of on a single tack in a square-rigged sailing vessel, regardless of the direction of the wind.

The Fimbul Ice Shelf is an ice shelf about 200 km (120 mi) long and 100 km (62 mi) wide, nourished by Jutulstraumen Glacier, bordering the coast of Queen Maud Land from 3°W to 3°E. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39), mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Fimbulisen.

Queen Maud Land Norways territorial claim in Antarctica

Queen Maud Land is a c. 2.7 million square kilometre (1.04 million sq mi) region of Antarctica claimed as a dependent territory by Norway. The territory lies between 20° west and 45° east, between the claimed British Antarctic Territory to the west and the similarly claimed Australian Antarctic Territory to the east. On most maps there had been an unclaimed area between Queen Maud Land's borders of 1939 and the South Pole until 12 June 2015 when Norway formally annexed that area. Positioned in East Antarctica, the territory comprises about one-fifth of the total area of Antarctica. The claim is named after the Norwegian queen Maud of Wales (1869–1938).

More specifically jutulen are troll-like figures from Norwegian folk tales. The ice stream reaches speeds of around 4 metres per day near the coast where it is heavily crevassed.

Båkeneset Headland is an ice-covered headland, marked by Båken Nunatak near the seaward end, forming the northwest extremity of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and from air photos by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition(1949–52), and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59), and named "Båkeneset".

Breidvåg Bight is a small bight along the east shore of Lutzow-Holm Bay, just west of Breidvågnipa Peak, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named Breidvåg.

Mount Brounov is a mountain, 2,370 metres (7,780 ft) high, standing 1.5 nautical miles (3 km) south of Mount Kibal'chich in the Payer Mountains of Queen Maud Land. It was first plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39. It was mapped from air photos and from surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after P.I. Brounov, a Soviet geographer.

Neupokoyev Bight bay

Neupokoyev Bight is a bight 30 nautical miles (60 km) wide, indenting the ice shelf that fringes the coast of Queen Maud Land about 20 nautical miles (37 km) northeast of Tsiolkovskiy Island. The feature was photographed from the air by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition in 1958-59 and roughly mapped from these photos. It was also mapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1961 and named for Konstantin Neupokoev (1884—1924), a naval officer, hydrographer and explorer of the Russian Hydrographic Service in Soviet times who worked in northern polar areas in the 1920s.

The Krasnov Rocks are a linear group of rocks 2 nautical miles (4 km) south-southeast of the summit of Mount Dallmann, in the Orvin Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were mapped from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, were remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after Russian geographer A.N. Krasnov.

Krylen Hill is a hill 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Valken Hill, in the northern part of the Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Krylen.

Mount Deryugin is a mountain, 2,635 metres (8,650 ft) high, on Vindegga Spur in the Liebknecht Range, Humboldt Mountains, in Queen Maud Land. It was discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39. Peter Glacier is a short, broad glacier draining northeast into Jutulstraumen Glacier just east of Neumayer Cliffs and Melleby Peak in Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59). Named for Peter Melleby who was in charge of sledge dogs with the NBSAE.

Eros Glacier is a glacier on the east coast of Alexander Island, Antarctica, 7 nautical miles (13 km) long and 2 nautical miles (4 km) wide at its mouth, flowing southeast from the Planet Heights into George VI Sound immediately north of Fossil Bluff. It was probably first seen on November 23, 1935, by Lincoln Ellsworth, who flew directly over the glacier and obtained photos of features north and south of it. The mouth of the glacier was observed and positioned by the British Graham Land Expedition in 1936 and the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1948 and 1949. The glacier was mapped in detail from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947–48, by D. Searle of the FIDS in 1960. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee after the minor planet Eros in association with nearby Pluto Glacier and Uranus Glacier.

Gangbrekka Pass is a mountain pass between Jutulrora Mountain and Brekkerista Ridge in the Sverdrup Mountains of Queen Maud Land of Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Gangbrekka.

Gråkammen Ridge is a mountainous ridge that includes Tambovskaya Peak and Mount Solov'yev, rising between the Gråhorna Peaks and Aurdalen Valley in the Westliche Petermann Range of the Wohlthat Mountains in Antarctica. The Lomonosov Mountains are a somewhat isolated chain of mountains extending 18 nautical miles (33 km) northeast–southwest, located 20 nautical miles (37 km) east of the Wohlthat Mountains in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were discovered and first plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39, and were mapped from air photos and surveys by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1958–59. The mountains were remapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov.

Handel Ice Piedmont is a large ice piedmont lying north and west of the Colbert Mountains, between Haydn Inlet and Schubert Inlet on the west-central coast of Alexander Island, Antarctica. Apparently first seen from the air by the United States Antarctic Service in 1940 but not separately mapped, it was first mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947–48, by Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960. The feature was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for George Frideric Handel, the German composer.

Tambovskaya Peak is the central peak, 2,750 m, of Grakammen Ridge in Westliche Petermann Range, Wohlthat Mountains. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after the city of Tambov.

Holst Peak is a rocky pyramidal peak, rising to about 1,000 metres (3,300 ft), midway between the south end of the Walton Mountains and the LeMay Range in the central part of Alexander Island, Antarctica. It was first mapped by D. Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960 from air photos obtained by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947–48, and was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for Gustav Holst, the English composer.
