The Sri Lanka men's national cricket team, nicknamed The Lions, represents Sri Lanka in men's international cricket. It was a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status until it was suspended, for 11 days, by the ICC on 10 November 2023. The suspension was lifted on 21 November 2023. The team first played international cricket in 1926–27 and became an associate member of the ICC in 1965. They were awarded the Test status in 1981, which made Sri Lanka the eighth Test cricket-playing nation. The team is administered by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Amunugama Rajapakse Rajakaruna Abeykoon Panditha Wasalamudiyanse Ralahamilage Rajith Krishantha Bandara Amunugama, better known as Rajith Amunugama is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and bowled right-arm medium pace. His first-class cricket career consisted of 102 matches played mainly for the Tamil Union Club and Kurunegala Youth.
Kalutarage Eric Amila Upashantha is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played two Test matches and 12 One Day Internationals for Sri Lanka. He was educated at Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler.
Lanka de Silva is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in three Test matches and 11 One Day Internationals in 1997. He is also the current interim head coach of the Sri Lanka women's national cricket team.
The Major League Tournament is the main domestic first-class cricket competition in Sri Lanka. It was established in 1938 and has existed under a number of different names. Matches before the 1988–89 season are not considered first-class. Relaunched as the Lakspray Trophy in 1988–89, it was renamed as the P. Saravanamuttu Trophy in 1990–91 and as the Premier Championship in 1998–99. Narangoda Liyanaarachchige Thisara Chirantha Perera, popularly as Thisara Perera, is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer who played all formats for the national team. He also captained the team in limited-overs formats. Domestically he plays for Sri Lanka Army Sports Club in the Premier Trophy and Premier Limited-Overs Tournament, and the Jaffna Stallions in the Lanka Premier League. Perera has played franchise T20 cricket all around the world for numerous leagues. Primarily a bowling all-rounder, he is an aggressive left-handed batsman who can hit big sixes in death overs and is a useful right-arm medium-fast bowler.
Ace Capital Cricket Club is a first-class cricket club in Sri Lanka. It was originally founded in 1989 as the Seeduwa/Raddoluwa Cricket Club. In 2011, it became the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club. The SLPA withdrew sponsorship in October 2020 and the club was renamed Ace Capital ahead of the 2020–21 season. In 2022–23, Ace Capital is playing in the Major League Tournament.
Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club Ground, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, has staged first-class and List A cricket matches since 1991. It is the home ground of the Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club cricket team.
Chamikara Edirisinghe is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club in the 2011–12 Premier Trophy on 20 January 2012. On 4 January 2019, bowling for Saracens Sports Club against Colombo Cricket Club in the 2018–19 Premier League Tournament, Edirisinghe took 9 wickets for 87 runs in the first innings of the match. He was the leading wicket-taker for Saracens Sports Club in the tournament, with 52 dismissals in ten matches. He signed with Chorley Cricket Club to play cricket in England in the 2019 season.
Bertrum Wijesinha, also spelled Wijesinghe was a cricketer who played 17 matches of first-class cricket for Ceylon between 1947 and 1956.
The 2017–18 Premier Limited Overs Tournament was a List A cricket competition that took place in Sri Lanka. It was the seventeenth edition of the Premier Limited Overs Tournament, and the first since the 2015–16 edition, after the 2016–17 tournament was cancelled following a legal challenge and replaced by the 2016–17 Districts One Day Tournament. The tournament started on 9 March 2018 and finished on 25 March 2018. Rain affected the first few days of fixtures, with several games ending as a no result.
The 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament is the 1st season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Sri Lanka. 15 teams in total, five representing four provinces of Sri Lanka and a Sri Lanka Schools XI team participating in the competition. The competition began on 17 August 2004, when Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club played the Police Sports Club at Colts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo.
The 2018–19 Premier League Tournament Tier B was the second division of the 31st season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy. The tournament was contested by nine teams, starting on 31 January 2019 and concluding on 23 May 2019. Negombo Cricket Club won the tournament in the previous season and were promoted to Tier A. They were replaced in Tier B by Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club after their relegation from Tier A.

The tournament was contested by nine teams, starting on 2 December 2016 and concluding on 29 January 2017. Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club joined the division after they were relegated from the 2015–16 Tier A tournament.
Amunugama Gedara Ranaweera Mudiyanselage Daminda Kumara Ranaweera, or commonly Daminda Ranaweera is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his FC debut on 15 November 1999 for the Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club, against Colombo.
