The KwaZulu Marlins are a South African basketball team based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Established in 1994, the Marlins play in the Basketball National League (BNL).
The Marlins won the Premier Basketball League in 1997 and the BNL in 2024, [1] and were runners-up in 2007. [2] The team is coached by Graig Gilchrist since 2013. [3] Notable former players include Samkelo Cele and Thabo Sithole.

Sundowns tallied 75 points for the season, equalling the points record they jointly set with Kaizer Chiefs last season, but unlike the previous season in which the title was decided by goal difference, there was no close title race this season as Sundowns finished comfortably ahead of second placed Orlando Pirates with an 11-point margin.

Cele began playing professionally in 2023 and was an All-BAL First Team selection in 2024, and is a two-time BAL All-Defensive Team selection, all while playing for the Tigers.
The 2022–23 season of the Cape Town Tigers was the 3rd season of the South African basketball team. The Tigers played in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) for a second straight season, following their win in the Road to BAL's East Division.
