Kwengface is a British drill rapper. He began his rap career in 2015 as part of the Peckham-based Zone 2 collective. He released his debut solo mixtape, YPB: Tha Come Up, in 2020.

Career

Kwengface began rapping in 2015 as a member of the Zone 2 collective, based in Peckham. [1] In 2020, Kwengface released "Auntie", which peaked at number 49 on the UK singles chart. In 2021, Kwengface released "Petrol Station" with PS Hitsquad, which peaked at number 19 on the UK singles chart. [2] Later that same year, he released a Plugged In freestyle with Fumez the Engineer in 2021 [3] which was viewed over 7.5 million times according to DJ Mag [1] and his debut solo mixtape, YPB: Tha Come Up, which included features from Big Ryde, Berna, and PS Hitsquad. [4]

In 2022, Kwengface released his second mixtape, YPB: The Archive, with features from Dizzee Rascal, Dusty Locane, 26AR, and CB. [5] He also released "Lucious" with Knucks, [6] which peaked at number 44 on the UK singles chart. [2] In 2023, Kwengface released The Memoir, a mixtape that included features from Giggs, Knucks, ShaSimone and SL. [7]

In 2024, Kwengface released A Gangster's Holiday. The mixtape included features from Digga D, Marnz Malone, and Booter Bee. [8] The mixtape was named on British GQ's top best albums of 2024, with the magazine stating, "A Gangster’s Holiday is more old-school – it’s all clicking snares and sinister talk of gang violence." Nathaniel Thompson, better known professionally as Giggs, is a British rapper and songwriter from Peckham, London. He released his debut studio album Walk in da Park in 2008 and released a follow-up album Let Em Ave It the following year.

The Peckham Boys, also referred to as Black Gang, is a multi-generational gang based in Peckham, South London. The gang is particularly prominent for its members prolific activity in music. Giggs, once a member of the SN1 set, is generally credited with popularising the British gangsta rap style known as road rap. Giggs would proceed to have a successful musical career, and re-form SN1 as a record label. In 2011, Peckham Boys rapper Stigs was given the first ever gang injunction, banning him from making any music that may encourage violence. Stigs was at the time allegedly a member of Anti GMG. In 2011, Southwark Council identified three sets of the Peckham Boys, PYG, Anti GMG and SN1, as the most active gangs in the Peckham area.

<i>Wamp 2 Dem</i> 2019 British film

Wamp 2 Dem is a commercial mixtape by English rapper Giggs. It was released on 6 October 2017 by No BS Music, while the mixtape was distributed by Island Records. It succeeds Giggs' fourth album Landlord (2016), released a year and two months prior, and is Giggs' first release with a major label. The mixtape includes guest appearances from American rappers 2 Chainz, Young Thug and Lil Duke, alongside Dave, Footsie, D Double E, Popcaan and Donae'o. Production was handled by Cool & Dre, London on da Track, Zaytoven, The Fanatix, Bricks Da Mane and Chris Childs, among others.

British rapper Giggs has released six studio albums, eighteen mixtapes, nine solo singles and twenty-seven music videos. A majority of his releases have been independently released through SN1 Records, alongside several releases through XL Recordings and Takeover Entertainment.

Nathan Tokosi, known professionally as DigDat, is a British rapper from Deptford, London. His single "Air Force" peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart following the release of the remix featuring Krept and Konan and K-Trap; this was the first time one of his tracks had entered the top 20. His next single, "No Cap" with Loski, peaked at number 51.

D-Block Europe, often abbreviated to DBE, is a British hip hop collective consisting of Adam Nathaniel "Young Adz" Williams, and Ricky Earl "Dirtbike LB" Banton. Their name originated after being co-signed by Jadakiss, resulting in Jadakiss launching the European stable of his record label D-Block Records, creating D-Block Europe. They started to put out tracks on their own label at the beginning of 2014. The group rose to fame in 2017 after releasing numerous singles including "Large Amounts", "Darling" and "NASSty".

He is known for his prominence in the UK drill scene, releasing notable mixtapes such as The Last Whip (2017), The Re-Up (2018) and No Magic (2019). Previously, K-Trap was widely known for wearing a balaclava to conceal his identity until June 2019 when he revealed his face for the first time in the music video for his single ‘Big Mood’, promoting his mixtape No Magic.

Zone 2 is a British hip hop collective based in Peckham, London. The group has gained millions of views and streams through their music on YouTube and streaming platforms. The group is noteworthy for its rivalry with Moscow17. The rivalry began around 2016 and has resulted in various diss tracks between the two groups, as well as physical violence.

"Swerve" is a song by British rapper Jay1. The song features a guest appearance from British YouTuber and rapper KSI. It was released for digital download and streaming by RCA Records and Sony on 2 July 2021. An accompanying music video was released the day before the song's release. The song charted at number 69 in the United Kingdom. The song appears on the Platinum VIP edition of KSI's second studio album, All Over the Place (2021).

Noughty by Nature is the third commercial mixtape by British rapper Digga D. It was released on 15 April 2022 by CGM. It features guest appearances from Still Brickin', Rack5, Dodgy, Horrid1, AJ Tracey, and Maverick Sabre, and American rappers B-Lovee, Moneybagg Yo, and Hotboii. The extended edition adds a further guest appearance from Arrdee. The mixtape debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, becoming Digga D's first number-one album.

Cian Francis William Wright, known professionally as Clavish, is a British rapper from Stamford Hill, London. He is currently signed to the German-British Universal subsidiary, Polydor Records. He is noted for his signature flow on trap and drill beats. In December 2022, Clavish earned his first UK Top 10 with the D-Block Europe-assisted "Rocket Science" which peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. His first mixtape Rap Game Awful released on 13 January 2023 and debuted at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart.

Back to Square One is the fourth commercial mixtape by British rapper Digga D. It was released on 25 August 2023 by his record label Black Money Records. It features guest appearances from Potter Payper and M Huncho.

<i>Blood Diamond</i> (album) 2024 studio album by Unknown T

Blood Diamond is the debut full-length studio album by British UK drill rapper Unknown T, released through A Stay Solid Music and Island Records on 12 January 2024. The album is a follow-up to his debut EP, Before the Smoke released in August 2023. The album features guest appearances from 98s, Digga D, Knucks, Loyle Carner, Odumodublvck, Scribz Riley and Tiana Major9, and includes production from AyeTM, Beat Butcha, Chucks, Jae5, Sean Murdz, alongside several other producers.

Nemiah Emmanuel Simms, known professionally as Nemzzz, is a British rapper from Manchester. He gained recognition in 2021 with the tracks "Elevate" and "2MS". He released his first mixtape Do Not Disturb in 2024, which debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart.
