Kyle Quinlan (born February 10, 1989) is a former college football quarterback and formerly the co-offensive coordinator for the McMaster Marauders in the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports football. He played collegiately with the Marauders of the OUA where he won the Ted Morris Memorial Trophy as the Most Valuable Player in the 47th Vanier Cup, en route to winning the Marauder's first football national championship. [1] In 2012, Quinlan won the Hec Crighton Trophy as the CIS football Most Valuable Player. On April 29, 2013, Quinlan was named the CIS male athlete of the year for 2013. [2]

Professional career

Quinlan signed with the Montreal Alouettes on May 8, 2012 after being undrafted in the 2012 CFL Draft. [3] He played in the Alouettes second pre-season game, completing two of four passes for 45 yards, before being released during the team's final training camp cuts. [4] After completing his college eligibility with McMaster, Quinlan re-signed with the Alouettes on December 21, 2012. [5] In May 2013 it was announced that Quinlan would not be joining the Alouettes for their 2013 training camp, despite having signed a 3-year contract in December. [6]

Coaching career

Quinlan decided not to pursue his CFL career, instead he joined the McMaster Marauders coaching staff as the team's running backs coach in May 2013. [7] He then joined the Holland College Hurricanes as the team's head coach and offensive coordinator on July 15, 2015. [8] He won the Moosehead Cup championship that year, but left the team after only one season.

On November 27, 2015, he was hired by the York Lions to become the offensive coordinator of their football team. [9]

On December 1, 2016, it was announced that Quinlan would be returning to the McMaster Marauders as co-offensive coordinator, sharing duties with Tom Flaxman. [10] Quinlan resigned from his position at the end of the 2018 season.

Khari Okang Jones [ke-HAR-ee] is a former professional Canadian football player and current head coach for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is also a former television sports reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Jones played quarterback in the CFL, where he enjoyed his most success with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jones also played briefly for the Arena Football League's Albany Firebirds and the World League of American Football's Scottish Claymores. He has also been the offensive coordinator for the BC Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Marc Trestman Gridiron football coach

Marc Marlyn Trestman is an American football and Canadian football coach who is the head coach and general manager of the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. He was also recently head coach of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and served as the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL and Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He led the Alouettes to two consecutive Grey Cup championships and was named CFL Coach of the Year in 2009. He played college football as a quarterback for three seasons with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, and one season at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Ryan Dinwiddie American football player

Ryan Dinwiddie is a former professional Canadian football quarterback who is currently the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts. After playing college football, he went undrafted and signed with the Chicago Bears, however he was cut from their training camp. Dinwiddie later went on to play professionally for the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe, and also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

McMaster Marauders football

The McMaster Marauders football team represents McMaster University based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The team plays U Sports football in the Ontario University Athletics conference. The Marauders have been playing organized football since 1901 when they played their first exhibition game in the Canadian Intercollegiate Rugby Football Union. The team has appeared in four Vanier Cup games, winning one in 2011.

The 2012 CIS football season began on August 31, 2012 with the Saskatchewan Huskies hosting the Alberta Golden Bears at Griffiths Stadium. The season concluded on November 23 in Toronto, Ontario with the 48th Vanier Cup championship, won by the Laval Rouge et Or after they defeated the McMaster Marauders 37-14. This year, 26 university teams in Canada are scheduled to play Canadian Interuniversity Sport football, the highest level of amateur Canadian football.

Spencer Moore is a professional Canadian football fullback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
