Early life

Heather played high school football at Oromocto High School in Oromocto, New Brunswick. [1]

University career

Heather played five seasons of CIS football at Bishop's. [1] He played in nine games (including one playoff game) his final year in 2013, completing 211 of 350 passes for 3,224 yards, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, winning the Hec Crighton Trophy as the best CIS football player that season. [1] [2] His 3,132 passing yards (done in eight regular seasons game) set a CIS record for passing yards in a season. [3] Heather was also the first player in school history to win the Hec Crighton. Post-university career

Heather has played for the St. Etienne Giants in France, the Calgary Gators of the Alberta Football League, and the North Bay Bulldogs of the Northern Football Conference. [3] [4] [5] [6] Heather was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2023 Northern Football Conference season.[ citation needed ]

Heather is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. [7]

The 2010 CIS football season began on August 31, 2010, with the Windsor Lancers hosting the Ottawa Gee-Gees and the defending Vanier Cup champion Queen's Golden Gaels visiting the McMaster Marauders. The season concluded on November 27 at the PEPS stadium in Quebec City, Quebec with the Laval Rouge et Or winning the 46th Vanier Cup, a record tying sixth championship for the school. In this year, 25 university teams in Canada played CIS football, the highest level of amateur Canadian football.

Matthew John Walter is a retired professional Canadian football running back. Walter spent 4 seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, he was most recently a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted 34th overall by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2011 CFL Draft and was originally signed by the team on May 26, 2011. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos and played for the Stampeders from 2011 to 2015.

Bradley Sinopoli is a former Canadian football wide receiver who played for nine years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally a quarterback with the Calgary Stampeders before being converted to wide receiver in 2013. He then joined the Ottawa Redblacks where he was twice named the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian, was named an East Division All-Star three times, and a CFL All-Star in 2018. Donald Blair is a former Canadian football wide receiver who played eight seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1996 to 2003 for the Edmonton Eskimos, BC Lions, and Calgary Stampeders. In his professional career, Blair had 310 catches for 4642 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was a member of the 2000 BC Lions team that won the 88th Grey Cup. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos where he won the Hec Crighton Trophy in 1995.
