Wigan Warriors

In 2016 Shelford played once for Wigan [5] and once for Swinton on dual registration. [6] In 2017, Shelford joined Workington Town on a season-long loan deal. [7] In October 2017 he signed for Swinton. [6]

On 21 Jun 2019 it was reported that he had signed for Rochdale Hornets in the RFL League 1 [8]

Warrington Wolves

On 26 Jan 2020 it was reported that he had signed for Warrington Wolves in the Super League on a part-time contract [9]

In Sep 2020 Shelford made his Super League debut for the Warrington Wolves vs Salford Red Devils. [10]
