A major industry and employer is Gunnar Dafgård AB, founded in 1937, which manufactures various cold dishes such as pan pizza, pies and ready meals.

Gunnar Dafgård AB (GDAB) was founded 1937 by Gunnar Dafgård and is Sweden's largest private food producer with an annual revenue of more than US$300 million. GDAB has customers throughout Europe with the main market being Scandinavia. GDAB produces all kinds of foods but the biggest selling products are Swedish meatballs, pizza, lasagna and ready meals. GDAB's own brands include Billy's Pizza, Familjen Dafgård and Gorby's.

Pan pizza

Pan pizza is a thin or thick pizza baked in a deep dish pan. The bottoms and sides of the crust become fried and crispy in the oil used to coat the pan. Chicago and Detroit-style pizza may be considered a form of pan pizza. Pan pizza generally refers to the thin to thick style popularized by Pizza Hut in the 1960s.
