La-Ventura is a female fronted rock/melodic metal band based in the Netherlands. It was founded by ex-Orphanage drummer Erwin Polderman and vocalist Carla van Huizen in 2005. Its sound is characterized by groovy drum beats, raunchy riffs and melodic female vocals.
The band terminated their agreement with Razar Ice Records in July 2007 --- just two months before the planned release date for their first album, and continued the production themselves. [1] Their first album, A New Beginning , debuted on October 6, 2007, and the band signed a record deal with the American-based Renaissance Records in January 2008. The album was officially released in North America on March 18, 2008. [2]
The band shot a video for their first US single, "Trefoil". [3]
A second album, White Crow , saw an independent pre-release for the Benelux in 2013. Recorded at the MII Recording Studio [4] in France, mixed and produced by Didier Chesneau and mastered by Bruno Gruel at Elektra Mastering. [5] In November 2013, the band officially announced the signing of a license deal with Ravenheart Music Records [6] for the UK/Ireland and Valkyrie Rising [7] for the territories Germany/Austria/Switzerland. A digital release of the single "Song for an Idiot" was released on 15 November 2013. In March 2014, the album was officially released in Europe.
On October 31, 2014, an official videoclip of "Song for an Idiot" was released. [8]
On November 7, 2015, the EP 2.0 was released.
On January 7, 2018, the members pulled the plug out of the band for the time being. [9]
Camper Van Beethoven is an American rock band formed in Redlands, California in 1983, later based in Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Their style mixes elements of pop, ska, punk, folk, alternative, country, and world music, amongst other genres. The band initially polarized audiences within the hardcore punk scene of California's Inland Empire and then found wider acceptance and, eventually, an international audience. Their strong iconoclasm and emphasis on do-it-yourself values proved influential to the burgeoning indie rock movement.

Still Remains is an American metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They formed out of previous local bands Shades of Amber and Unition. They released three studio albums, Of Love and Lunacy, The Serpent and Ceasing to Breathe, both to positive reviews, and had minor UK chart success with the single "Dancing with the Enemy". They disbanded in mid-2008, but reunited for one final show in March 2011. In May the band announced that the reunion would be permanent.

Crimson Glory is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1983 in Sarasota, Florida, USA. It started in 1979 under the name Pierced Arrow, then Beowulf, before settling on Crimson Glory. The classic line-up consisted of the vocalist Midnight, guitarists Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson, bass guitarist Jeff Lords and drummer Dana Burnell. With that line-up, the band rose to international fame in the mid-1980s and was considered one of the pioneers of the American progressive metal movement, along with Queensrÿche, Dream Theater, Fates Warning and Watchtower. During its career, the band released four studio albums and one EP.

Delain is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2002 by former Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, intending for the band to be solely a project. Singer Charlotte Wessels was invited to join in 2005. The name of the band comes from the Kingdom of Delain in Stephen King's novel, The Eyes of the Dragon. In February 2021, the members decided to part ways. In June 2021, Westerholt announced that there would be a new lineup involving former and new members, with Diana Leah later being announced as the new lead vocalist in August 2022.

The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. The band's current line-up consists of Ahren Stringer, Joel Birch, Dan Brown (guitar) and Joe Longobardi (drums). The Amity Affliction has released eight studio albums including Severed Ties (2008), Youngbloods (2010), Chasing Ghosts (2012), Let the Ocean Take Me (2014), This Could Be Heartbreak (2016), Misery (2018) and Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them (2020). They are known for their highly personal songs, often dealing with depression, anxiety, death, substance abuse, and suicide, many lyrics stemming from vocalist Joel Birch's past struggles. The Amity Affliction released their latest album, Not Without My Ghosts, on 12 May 2023.
