Ladies First is the debut album of Desi/British Asian rapper Ms Scandalous, recorded almost three years after her first appearance with Panjabi Hit Squad with the track "Hai Hai" on their 2002 album The Streets. PHS produced and co-wrote the album. In addition to Ms Scandalous' MCing, the album featured the sung vocals of Jaspinder Narula and Alyssia. [1] [2]

The video for "Aaja Soniyah" by Simon Poon-Tip entered the Top Ten of MTV Base, a first for an Asian female artist.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also known as KKHH or K2H2, is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film written and directed by Karan Johar and produced under Dharma Productions. It stars the popular on-screen pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles, along with Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan. It also features Sana Saeed in a supporting role. The plot combines two love triangles set years apart. The first half covers friends on a college campus, while the second tells the story of a widower's young daughter who tries to reunite her dad with his old best friend.

Panjabi Hit Squad are British DJs, producers and radio broadcasters for BBC Asian Network and formerly BBC 1Xtra. The group recorded several albums, including Desi Beats Vol 1 with Def Jam. They have won the UK Asian Music Awards three times, in 2003, 2005 and 2012. They produced two albums for Ms Scandalous, Ladies First and Aag.

Ritviz Srivastava is an Indian singer-songwriter, electronic musician and record producer from Pune, Maharashtra, India. He is known for his song "Udd Gaye" featured on A.I.B.'s official YouTube channel after becoming the winner of the 2017 Bacardi House Party Sessions, a talent hunt competition organised by A.I.B. and Nucleya. Ritviz has been selected for the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list of 2021, and has been featured on one of the digital covers of the Grazia India Cool List 2021.
