History

The club was founded around the late 20th century.

Lagedos became an official registered club and a member of the Santo Antão South Zone Regional Football Association (ARFZSSA) in 2007. Alongside Fiorentina Porto Novo and Inter, they played their first match in 2008.

Lajedos once formed one of two westernmost clubs in the whole of Africa (the mainland and the islands). It was the only club in the area until 2014 when Tarrafal FC de Monte Trigo based in the west started to compete.

Lajedos did not participate in 2012 and in 2014 due to financial problems. They have been playing since the 2014-15 season. They got their best position which was 3rd in 2016 and the club became runner up to Académica Porto Novo in late March 2017, that season, Lajedos had their best champ season ever as the season extended to 7 matches in 2010, they had 8 wins and finished with 26 points which was a club record.

In other competitions, in the Santo Antão Cup, they headed up to the finals and won their only cup title for the island in 2016. In Santo Antão South Cup, the club headed up to the cup finals and lost to the mighty Académica Porto Novo and was the club's best position, as that club win the championship, they got the entry into the regional super cup as second placed cup winner where they lost to Académica Porto Novo.
