History
The Burns Lake area had numerous small rural schools in operation in the early part of the 1900s. Most students did not continue their education beyond the teen years. Ranching, trapping, farming and saw milling required the help of all family members.
The first small group of students entered Burns Lake Superior School in Burns Lake in 1934, but only one student stayed to graduate in 1936. This was William Wren Gilgan (1917–2012). A special recognition has been placed in the graduate hallway at LDSS to honor Mr. Gilgan.
As the population in the area grew a new school replaced the old building in 1951 and was situated along Highway 16. In 1962, the high school became known as Lakes District Secondary and the nickname "Lakers" was adopted soon after.
From 1951 to the late 1980s, this school site was expanded and redeveloped several times. A student residence building was built in 1965 to support students from the rural communities surrounding Burns Lake. After bussing routes improved in the late 1970s, the residence building became a resource center, offices and an alternative school.
In the mid-1990s, the building was deemed too old to renovate, so work began on a new high school. Budget delays and government changes pushed the construction back to 2001. In 2003, a new high school was completed adjacent to the old school on Highway 16.
Belgreen is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Franklin County, Alabama, United States, located nine miles west of Russellville and around 17 miles east of Red Bay on Alabama Highway 24. As of the 2010 census, its population was 129. Belgreen is a small district, composed of a condensed area of residency, the school, a small gas station, car wash, and a new Dollar General.
The Shenendehowa Central School District, often shortened to Shen, is a public school district located in New York's Capital District. The district's 232-acre (0.94 km2) main campus is located off NY 146 in Clifton Park, and is home to eight of the district's 12 schools, in five buildings. The remaining four schools are called "neighborhood elementary schools" and are located throughout the district in three buildings. The district serves approximately 9,800 students in grades K-12 from throughout its 86-square-mile (220 km2) territory which includes the towns of Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Ballston Lake, Round Lake, Malta and parts of Waterford, Rexford, Mechanicville and Stillwater. Shenendehowa is the largest School District in Saratoga County, and the largest in student population in the Suburban Council, an interscholastic athletic consortium of 11 area school with a districts.
The Ithaca City School District (ICSD) is a public school district centered in Ithaca, Caroline, Danby, and Enfield. Approximately 600 teachers work in the district, along with 300 other professional staff members, 275 paraprofessionals, and 40 administrators including principals.
The Wyckoff School District is a community public school district, serving students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Wyckoff in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States.
The Williamson Central School District is a public school district that serves the residents of the Town of Williamson, New York, USA. It has three campuses: an elementary/primary school serving grades pre-kindergarten–4; a middle school for grades 5–8; and a senior high school comprising grades 9–12. The system had 1,336 students in Kindergarten–12 and a senior class of 99 during the school year 2004/5. There were 125 teachers and 78 other professional and paraprofessional staff.
Dell City Independent School District (DCISD) is a public school district based in Dell City, Texas (USA). The district operates Dell City School, which covers grades Kindergarten through 12 and serves students in northern Hudspeth County. Dell City School is classified as a 1A school by the UIL. In 2016, the school was rated "Improvement Required" by the Texas Education Agency. In addition to northern Hudspeth County, it also serves areas of southeast Otero County, New Mexico as part of an inter-district agreement with Alamogordo Public Schools due to the area's lack of proximity to the Alamogordo district's schools.

Its enrollment during the 2010–11 academic year was 1,334, with 53% male students and 47% female. Its current principal is Michael Smith, who was hired in 2020.

The district has five operating school buildings: three elementary schools, one Middle school, and one high school. The district is a member of the Rensselaer-Columbia-Greene Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), known as Questar III.

Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School or Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District is located on an 80-acre campus in Rochester, Massachusetts, United States, the geographical center of the five-member town school district that includes Acushnet, Carver, Mattapoisett, Rochester and students from Freetown & Lakeville Public Schools. Note that Lakeville is a member town while, Freetown is not and its students served are limited to around 90. Old Colony is affectionately known as OC, Old Colony Regional, Old Colony RVTHS, OCRVTH, & OCRVTHS. Old Colony is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, as well as the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Old Colony is a "Full Time" Vocational-Technical High School. So Old Colony has an academic department.
Leamington District Secondary School (LDSS) is a public high school in Leamington, Ontario. Home of the Lions, it has an enrollment of approximately 950 students. In 2018 LDSS became an IB World School authorized to offer the Diploma Programme. LDSS feeder schools are located throughout Leamington and neighbouring town Wheatley, Ontario. This includes: Queen Elizabeth Public School, Gore Hill Public School, Margaret D. Bennie Public School, Mt. Carmel-Blytheswood Public School and East Mersea Public School.

It is the only high school within Kent County, is part of the Kent County Public Schools district, and serves students from ninth through twelfth grades.
