Lakewood High School is a public high school in St. Petersburg, Florida operated by Pinellas County Schools. It opened in 1966 with students previously attending St. Petersburg High School and Boca Ciega High School. Lakewood High is one of the most highly funded schools in the county, due to the Center for Advanced Technologies, a magnet program attached to Lakewood.
CATCOM (Center for Advanced Technologies Communications and Original Media), a video production class and club within the CAT program, was created by Mark Granning and Dr. Martin Shapiro in 1990. CATCOM Studios, now known as Mark W. Granning Studios following his retirement, produces a daily in-house 15-minute news program called Fast Forward and once produced award-winning segments, known as "FOX ThirTEEN Magazine," for the local Fox affiliate. CATCOM has won numerous Student Emmys for its work. Acceptance into the program is competitive, as only about 75 students may participate each year.
Also well known for the AMSET, [2] Academy for Marine Science, program directed by James Kostka. Lakewood also recently added the CJAM, [2] Center for Journalism and Multimedia, program to its curriculum.
Lakewood HS is 65% Black, 25% White, 6% Hispanic, and 4% other. [3]
Terrance Delon Fair is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). A first round pick in the 1998 NFL draft, he played from 1998 to 2005. He played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Timothy M. Carter is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft. He played college football for the Auburn Tigers.

H.B. Plant High School is a public high school located in the neighborhood of South Tampa in Tampa, Florida, United States. It opened in 1927 between South Himes Avenue on the east and Dale Mabry Highway on the west. The school is named in honor of railroad and hotel tycoon Henry B. Plant, who connected Tampa to the United States railroad system in 1884, helping the isolated village to grow into a large city over the following decades. The school mascot is the Panther, and its motto is "Strength Through Unity." Plant High School has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students.

A member of the New York Jets for most of his career, Revis is considered to be one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time. Due to his prowess and ability to shut down the best receiver of opposing teams, his spot on the field was nicknamed "Revis Island".

Rock Hill High School (RHHS) is the first of the three high schools in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A part of Rock Hill Schools, it offers the International Baccalaureate diploma to its senior class students, as well as dual credit and Advanced Placement. As of February 2016, RHHS has approximately 2,000 students in grades 9–12.
Aqib Talib is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Kansas, where he received consensus All-American honors, and was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft. Talib also played for the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Rams, winning Super Bowl 50 with Denver. In 2020, he made his debut as an analyst for NFL on Fox.

He played college football at Shippensburg University and signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Grimes was allocated to the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europa in 2006 and was part of the team that won World Bowl XV.

Richard Kevin Sherman is an American former football cornerback who played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Sherman played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, beginning his career as a wide receiver before moving to cornerback as a junior. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and voted All-Pro five times, including three times to the first team, and led the NFL in interceptions in 2013, when he also helped the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl. Sherman is regarded as one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time.

Milton Jackson was an American football coach for 26 seasons. He had different coaching positions for the California Golden Bears, Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Oilers, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Ravens. Also, he was drafted in the 7th round (170), by the San Francisco 49ers but did not play for them. Instead, he played for the San Jose Apaches, and Sacramento Capitols.
Ryan Carter is an American football coach and former cornerback, who is currently a defensive graduate assistant on the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff. He played college football at Clemson, including as a starting cornerback on the Tigers’ 2016 national championship team. In 2018, he signed with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League as an undrafted free agent out of college. From 2019–2021, he played cornerback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 2022, he joined his former Clemson defensive coordinator and current Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables' inaugural Sooners coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
