Lalmonirhat is a District, situated at the northern border of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rangpur Division. Lalmonirhat mahakuma was established as a district on 1 February 1984. It lies north of Kochbihar and Jalpaiguri of West Bengal, south of Rangpur, east of Kurigram and Kochbihar and west of Rangpur and Nilphamari District. The international border line of Lalmonirhat district is 281.6 km long.

এতে আরও বলা হয়, আর্মি এভিয়েশন গ্রুপ বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর একটি বিশেষায়িত প্রতিষ্ঠান। প্রতিষ্ঠানটির মূল লক্ষ্য সেনাবাহিনীর অভিযানিক কার্যক্রম প্রত্যক্ষভাবে বিমান সহায়তা প্রদান করা। দেশের প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে নিয়োজিত সেনা সদস্যদের সহায়তা প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষে লালমনিরহাট ও চট্টগ্রামে পৃথক দু'টি এভিয়েশন বেস স্থাপনের কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হয়। ২০২০ সালের ৩ মার্চ লালমনিরহাট সেনানিবাসে আর্মি এভিয়েশন স্কুলে হ্যাঙ্গার কমপ্লেক্স উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে।
He said: "With government's approval, two separate aviation bases were set up at Lalmonirhat and Chittagong to provide assistance to the army personnel deployed in remote areas of the country. The newly constructed hangar complex of Army Aviation School has already been inaugurated on March 3, 2020 at Lalmonirhat Cantonment."
