Langdai Ama (English: The Juncture) is a 2024 Manipuri film written and directed by Binoranjan Oinam. Thoiba's parents contrasting views on his career creates ample room for building up significant tension. The situation worsens as their disagreements threaten to end their marriage, putting Thoiba in a difficult position. He is faced with the dilemma of choosing between supporting his mother or siding with his father. It becomes more poignant after an incident that pressures Thoiba to confront his own values and priorities. [9]

The Meitei people, also known as Meetei, Manipuri people, are a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group native to the Indian State of Manipur. They form the largest and dominant ethnic group of Manipur in Northeast India. They speak the Meitei language, one of the 22 official languages of the Republic of India and the sole official language of Government of Manipur. The Meiteis primarily settled in the Imphal Valley region in modern-day Manipur, though a sizeable population has settled in the other Indian states of Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. There is also a notable presence of Meiteis in the neighbouring countries of Myanmar and Bangladesh. The Meiteis represents about 53% of Manipur's population.
Phijigee Mani is a 2011 Manipuri film directed by O. Gautam, co-written and produced by Takhelchangbam Ongbi Medha Sharmi, under the banner of Radha Govind Films. It stars an ensemble cast including Gurumayum Bonny, Abenao Elangbam and Leishangthem Tonthoingambi Devi. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Manipuri and Best Supporting Actress awards at the 59th National Film Awards. Phijigee Mani was also selected for Indian Panorama of 42nd International Film Festival of India 2011.
Eikhoi Pabunggi is a 2016 multi-starrer comedy Manipuri film directed by Hemanta Khuman and written by Binoranjan Oinam. The film features Denny Likmabam, Leishangthem Tonthoi, Bala Hijam, Eshita Yengkhom, Biju Ningombam, Ithoi Oinam, Suraj Sharma Laimayum, Pilot Naorem and Mukabala (Loya) Maibam in the lead roles. The film was released on 17 September 2016 at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT), Imphal.
Pallepfam is a 2014 Manipuri film produced and directed by Wanglen Khundongbam. The film features Redy Yumnam, Leishangthem Tonthoi and Apsara Anoubam in the lead roles. The story of the film was written by Dr. Moirangthem Achumba. Pallepfam is Wanglen Khundongbam's debut film. The movie was selected in the 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2015 under the section New Horizon from the North East.
The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when Matamgi Manipur by Debkumar Bose was released on 9 April 1972. From Aribam Syam Sharma's Paokhum Ama and M.A. Singh's Langlen Thadoi to Oken Amakcham's Lammei and Haobam Paban Kumar's Loktak Lairembee and many others, Manipuri cinema, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, has grown in both its form and culture.

The film got selection at the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival 2014. The film was screened at Gorky Sadan Hall, Kolkata on 8 March 2014 on the occasion of International Women's Day. It also got selection at Ladakh International Film Festival 2014 in the Indian Feature section. The movie was screened in the competition section of the Kinshasa International Film Festival (KIFF) 2017, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The story of the film was written by Arambam Samarendra and screenplay by Arambam Ongbi Memchoubi. Leipaklei was screened on the inaugural day of 5th Guwahati Film Festival 2012. It was also screened at the 18th Kolkata International Film Festival and 14th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) held at Jeonju, South Korea. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Manipuri at the 60th National Film Awards.

Hamom Sadananda is an Indian actor and singer who appears in Manipuri films. He is a resident of Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai, Imphal, Manipur. He has acted in more than 100 Manipuri films. Besides acting and singing in films, he also performs Manipuri Sankirtana on various Manipur occasions.
Tomthin Shija is a 2017 Manipuri film directed by Bobby Haobam, written by Binoranjan Oinam and produced by Geeta Konsam. The film features Maya Choudhury and Amar Mayanglambam in the titular roles. It was released on 23 September 2017 at MSFDS, Palace Compound, Imphal and Indrani Hall, Kakching. The movie was also premiered at Hindu College Auditorium, North Campus, University of Delhi, on 14 October 2017.

Huirem Ningol Laimayum Ongbi Seema was an Indian actress from Imphal, Manipur. She had appeared in more than 100 Manipuri films. As a producer, she had four Manipuri digital films to her credit. She was best known for her roles in movies like Kanaga Hinghouni, Chang Shi Chang, Lakhipurgi Lakhipyari, Naoshum, Yumleima Lamleima and Thasi Thanou. Two films where she acted, namely Yenning Amadi Likla (feature) and Ngaihak Lambida (non-feature) made entries into the Indian Panorama of the International Film Festival of India.
