Plot

Large is a gross-out teen comedy which centres on Jason, the son of a fading rock star, and his comic attempts to fulfill the conditions of his father's will in order to inherit a fortune.

Production

Large was produced by Alex Usborne. The pre-production period was relatively long, with writers Mike Dent and Justin Edgar draughting 20 versions of the script. [1] Large was filmed and edited at Pebble Mill Studios [2] and on location in director Edgar's hometown of Birmingham, UK, for six weeks in March and April 2000 on a budget of £1.4 million. The line producer was Paul Ritchie ( Slumdog Millionaire , Bend It Like Beckham ). It was the first film of Director of Photography Robbie Ryan ( Fish Tank , Wuthering Heights ) and Editor Eddie Hamilton ( Kick Ass , X-Men: First Class ). It was also Edgar's feature film debut. Release

Large premiered at the Cannes Film Festival market in May 2001 [4] and was sold for distribution in Spain, France, Germany, Australia and other major territories. It was released on 5 October 2001 (UK) by Pathé. [5]

Reception

The film attracted generally positive reviews with Sight and Sound praising the film's humour and Edgar's magpie sensibilities and energy. [6] Large was considered a flop on its cinema release but had a highly successful home entertainment release, selling over 30,000 DVDs for distributor Pathé [3] and entering the UK video charts at number 10. [7]

Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network. The series centers on two half-brothers who travel across a mysterious forest to find their way home, encountering a variety of strange and fantastical things on their journey. The show is based on McHale's animated short film Tome of the Unknown, which was produced as part of Cartoon Network Studios' shorts development program. Elijah Wood and Collin Dean voice the protagonists Wirt and Greg, and Melanie Lynskey voices Beatrice, a bluebird. Baby Driver is a 2017 action film written and directed by Edgar Wright. It stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver seeking freedom from a life of crime with his girlfriend Debora. Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Eiza González, Jamie Foxx, and Jon Bernthal appear in supporting roles. Eric Fellner and his Working Title Films partner Tim Bevan produced Baby Driver in association with Big Talk Productions' Nira Park. Sony and TriStar Pictures handled commercial distribution of the film. Baby Driver was financed through a co-production pact between TriStar and MRC and tax subsidies from the Georgia state government.
