Lawrence Douglas Giroux (born August 28, 1951) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman.
Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Giroux started his National Hockey League career with the St. Louis Blues in 1974. He also played for the Kansas City Scouts, Detroit Red Wings, and Hartford Whalers. He retired after the 1980 season. He was known as "the buffalo" for his 1970s-styled hair and side burns. Commonly referred to as "Buff".

Jaromír Jágr is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger for and the owner of Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Extraliga (ELH). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames, serving as captain of the Penguins and the Rangers, between 1990 and 2008. After leaving the Rangers in 2008, he played three seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Avangard Omsk. He returned to the NHL in 2011 with the Flyers and remained in the league for seven more years before being assigned by the Flames in 2018 to HC Kladno. Having played in 35 professional seasons and over 2,000 professional games, Jágr has had the longest playing career in professional ice hockey history. He is the most productive European player who has ever played in the NHL and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.
Daniel Jean-Claude Brière is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current executive. He is the general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers. Arthur Joseph Giroux was a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who played three seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins between 1932 and 1936. Giroux was included on Detroit's 1936 team picture, but left off the Stanley Cup. He spent most of the season in the minors, and did not play in the NHL during the playoffs. Giroux also played several seasons in various minor leagues during his career, which lasted from 1926 to 1945.
Claude Giroux is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Florida Panthers. Selected by the Flyers 22nd overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Giroux was named the Flyers' team captain in 2013, and became the longest-tenured captain in team history. Giroux played his 1,000th game with the Flyers on March 17, 2022. Giroux has been known to be a very flexible offensive player; capable of playing comfortably on both center and wing throughout his career.
