Individually, he performed better in longer distances, winning two medals in the 30 and 50 km at the 1982 World Championships and finishing fourth in the 50 km at the 1980 Olympic Games, though he also won the 1984 World Cup in the 15 km event. Eriksen retired in 1988, and later worked as a skiing coach, with Bjørn Dæhlie among others.
Lars-Göran Åslund. is a former Swedish cross-country skier who competed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His biggest success was at the 1970 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Vysoké Tatry where he won two medals with a gold in the 15 km and a bronze in the 4 × 10 km relay. He also competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics.
Marianne Werner was a West German athlete who specialized in throwing events. She competed in the shot put and discus throw at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics and earned two medals in the shot put. Werner won the European title in this event in 1958 and finished fifth in 1954.
Lars Jørgen Madsen was a Danish sport shooter who competed in the early 20th century in rifle shooting. He participated in Shooting at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris and won a gold medal in the Military Rifle standing. Twenty years later, he won another gold, in the Military Rifle Team event. He was one of only three Danish competitors to win five Olympic medals. He also competed at the 1908, 1912 and 1924 Summer Olympics.
