The 7th Annual Latin American Music Awards were held at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were broadcast live on Telemundo. [1] [2] Bad Bunny lead the nominations with ten nods, while Karol G was the top winner, with ten nods. [3]

Mexican singer and actress Lupita D’Alessio was honored with the Legend Award, [4] while Mexican singer-songwriter Christian Nodal was recognized with the Extraordinary Evolution Award. [5]

The awards recognized the most popular Latin performers, songs, albums, labels, songwriters and producers in the United States. Recipients were based on sales, radio airplay, online streaming and social data during a one-year period from the issue dated February 4, 2017 through January 27, 2018.

Ángela Aguilar Álvarez Alcalá is a Mexican and American singer. She was born in Los Angeles while her mother was accompanying her father, Pepe Aguilar, on tour. Aguilar gained notable recognition after performing "La Llorona" at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2019. Her paternal grandparents are the actors and singers from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.

Eslabon Armado is a Mexican American regional Mexican group formed in 2017. The group consists of Pedro Tovar, Brian Tovar (bass), Damian Pacheco, and Ulises González. They have released six studio albums and have received several awards and nominations including two Billboard Music Awards, two Billboard Latin Music Awards and two Latin American Music Awards.
