Laura Guido-Clark is an American designer of color, material and texture of consumer products. She has been dubbed an 'Experience Consultant' reflecting her interest and study of human reactions to the look and feel of new products. [1] At NeoCon 2017 she launched a color methodology called Love Good Color. Her approach integrates scientific and aesthetic theories so that emotion and the senses can be considered by designers when using color. [2]
Guido-Clark is a native of Dearborn, Michigan, United States. She attended Wayne State University, Detroit. [3] As a child she was inspired by Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss and The Wizard of Oz [4] leading her to choose design over medicine as her major. [5]
She founded the non-profit Project Color Corps with the aim of "optical optimism" in urban neighborhood schools through paint and pattern. [6] [7]
In 2011, under a Fast Company heading called Masters of Design, she was asked to contribute to a panel piece on American Design. The panel included Roger Martin of The University of Toronto, Thomas Lockwood of The Design Management Institute [8] and Mickey McManus of Maya Design amongst others. [9]
In 2014, the IIDA Northern California Chapter awarded her with their Leadership Award of Excellence. [10] Alongside Laurie Pressman of Pantone and Kat Holmes of Microsoft she was a member of the interview panel for the documentary 'Color in Sight'. The film explored the impact of color in the design and success of a product [11] [12]
Guido-Clark has contributed to the design of products for Herman Miller, HP, Samsung and Toyota. She has designed textiles and patterns for HBF, Pallas, Carnegie, Ultrafabrics, FLOR and Uncommon. [13]
She consults closely with Herman Miller as their Creative Director of Materials. [14]
In 2011 Guido-Clark founded the non-profit Project Color Corps. The charity aims to inspire local, urban communities to feel and be more positive through the power of color and pattern on community buildings such as schools. The charity teaches children and community members about color and pattern enabling and inviting them to be co-designers of their space. Professional designers and contractors are then engaged to work alongside volunteers to implement the community vision. [15]

For over a decade she has been interviewed extensively on design, her role and her philosophy of color. In a 2005 SFGate interview she discussed her college years and her views on the emotional importance of color in our everyday lives. [24]
The New York Times has covered Guido-Clark twice. In 2006 she considered the design of the bed in an article entitled The Bed, Remade. [25] In 2009 she appeared in an article entitled Boundless Cheer covering her on a shopping trip to Manhattan. [26]
Guido-Clark discussed some of her favourite fellow designers such as Magnus Anesund, Vibe Harsloef, and Tanya Aguiñiga in a Design Milk article in 2010. [27]
In an interview given to Design Applause in 2011 she expanded on how she arrived at "Experience Consultant' to describe the work performed by her and her colleagues in Laura Guido-Clark Design. She also compared American and Japanese design processes and values. [28]
In June 2017, she was interviewed by the magazine Interior Design The piece covered her design inspiration, her childhood in Michigan, her philosophy of color and her current work including Love Good Color - her new design methodology. [29]

Time magazine has described him as the "most famous industrial designer in all the Americas" and the "Prince of Plastic". He is based in New York City, as well as Belgrade, Miami and India.
Risa Niigaki is a Japanese actress and singer. She was a fifth-generation member of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume. She joined Morning Musume in 2001 along with 3 others- Ai Takahashi, Asami Konno and Makoto Ogawa. She grew up in Yokohama after moving there at the age of six. She was one of the longest serving members of Morning Musume, and was the leader of the group from October 2011 to her graduation on May 18, 2012.
Joanna Karine Hoffman is an American marketing executive. She was one of the original members of both the Apple Computer Macintosh team and the NeXT team. At the time she began at Apple Computer, the Mac was "still a research project". Her position "constituted the entire Macintosh marketing team for the first year and a half of the project," which included Product Marketing collaboration on the Mac product design itself. She also wrote the "first draft of the Macintosh User Interface Guidelines." Hoffman would eventually run the International Marketing Team which brought the Mac to Europe and Asia.

Jennifer Morla is a graphic designer and professor based in San Francisco. She received the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian National Design Award in Communication Design in 2017.
Melinda Leanna Shankar is a Canadian actress. She is best known for starring as Alli Bhandari in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2008-2015) and as Indira "Indie" Mehta in the YTV series How To Be Indie (2009-2011), for which she won several awards, including a Canadian Screen Award in 2013.
Mary Jean Thompson is an American honorary consul appointed by the ruling monarch and prime minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein and accredited by the Department of State of the United States of America. She serves the Pacific Northwest from the consulate in Portland, Oregon. She is the fifth consul representing Liechtenstein in the world and the only woman serving in that capacity.

Carmilla is a Canadian single-frame web series co-created by Jordan Hall, Steph Ouaknine, and Jay Bennett. The series premiered on the Vervegirl YouTube channel on August 19, 2014. U by Kotex is the executive producer of the web series. Over 20 years since launching her own studio, Mahdavi has built a name for herself—working on large hospitality projects, luxury collaborations, and even launching her own furniture line. Often referred to as the “reigning queen of color,” Mahdavi is most known for her whimsical spaces and forms infused with playful palettes. Projects include the Hotel du Cloitre in Arles, Coburg Bar at London's Connaught Hotel, Monte Carlo Beach in Monaco, Rivington Hotel in Manhattan and the Townhouse Hotel in Miami.
Jen Simmons is a graphic designer, web developer, educator and speaker known for her expertise in web standards, particularly HTML and CSS. She is a member of the CSS Working Group created by the World Wide Web Consortium and has been prominent in the deployment of CSS grid layout. Simmons is currently a developer advocate at Apple for the Web Developer Experience team for WebKit and Safari. She was previously a designer and developer advocate at Mozilla, where she designed the Firefox browser's Grid Inspector. Simmons runs the YouTube channel "Layout Land" and coined the term "intrinsic design" to refer to her philosophy of web layouts that mix fixed, content-sized, and fluid layout. Barbara Januszkiewicz is a Washington, D.C.-based American multimedia artist, creative activist, and teacher; best known for her stained neo Color field style abstract expressionism paintings. She works in water based media, specifically watercolor and diluted acrylic paint on unprepared canvas in the manner of Morris Louis and Helen Frankenthaler. She uses brushes to control her fans of color rather than create pours in her color field works. Januszkiewicz's paintings are inspired by her interest in the overlap of the vocabularies involved with visual art and music. Her visual interpretation in painting employs large color fields that meld and overlap in translucent layers, evoking the rhythm and flow of her musical inspiration. Januszkiewicz is listed as a notable artist having presented at the Artomatic exhibition. She has done documentary film work with musical composer Matthew Shipp, sculptor Hilda Thorpe, and painter Paul Reed.
