Helen Kay Wang is an English sinologist and translator. She works as curator of East Asian Money at the British Museum in London. She has also published a number of literary translations from Chinese, including an award-winning translation of a Chinese children's book.
The Vondel Prize is a literary translation prize, for full-length works from the Dutch into English. The prize was established in 1996 by the Foundation for the Production and Translation of Dutch Literature, and is named after the 17th-century Dutch writer Joost van den Vondel.
The 2019 Youth Media Awards were held by the American Library Association on January 28, 2019. The awards recognize books written for children and young adults and the authors and illustrators who create them.
The Theo Thijssen-prijs is a Dutch literary award awarded once every three years to a Dutch author of children's literature or young adult fiction. The award is not given for a particular work, but for the entire oeuvre. The award is named after Dutch writer, teacher and socialist politician Theo Thijssen. The winner of the prize receives €60,000 and a small replica of a statue of Theo Thijssen by Hans Bayens.
Margaretha Anna (Bibi) Dumon Tak is a Dutch writer of children's literature. After completing her degree in Dutch Literature, in 2001 Bibi Dumon Tak began her career as a children's non-fiction author with Het koeienboek.

Michele Hutchison is a British writer and translator, mainly of Dutch-language literature. She won the 2020 International Booker Prize for her translation of The Discomfort of Evening by Marieke Lucas Rijneveld, which according to the Booker website her "striking translation captures in all its wild, violent beauty." She was also awarded the Vondel Prize 2019 for her translation of Stage Four by Sander Kollaard.
