Laurent Pic (born 2 August 1964) is a French diplomat who currently serves as ambassador to Japan.
He was born in Paris and graduated from Sciences Po and INALCO. [1] As a diplomat, he has held postings at the permanent missions of France to the UN and the EU, and has served as an adviser to Pierre Moscovici and Jean-Marc Ayrault. He was ambassador to the Netherlands from 2014 to 2016 and was appointed ambassador to Japan in June 2017.
He is a knight of the National Order of Merit, [2] and of the Légion d'honneur. [3] He also granted the Order of the Rising Sun by Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on September 15, 2020. [4]
The history of relations between France and Japan goes back to the early 17th century, when a Japanese samurai and ambassador on his way to Rome landed for a few days in Saint-Tropez and created a sensation. France and Japan have enjoyed a very robust and progressive relationship spanning centuries through various contacts in each other's countries by senior representatives, strategic efforts, and cultural exchanges.

Yéro Boly is a Burkinabé politician and diplomat. He served in the government of Burkina Faso as Minister of Territorial Administration and Security from 1995 to 2000 and was Director of the Cabinet of the President from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, he was Minister of Defense to 2004 to 2011 and Ambassador to Morocco from 2012 to 2015.
Antoine Ndinga Oba was a Congolese diplomat, political figure, and linguist. During the single-party rule of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT), he served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of National Education from 1977 to 1984 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1984 to 1991. Later, he was Congo-Brazzaville's Ambassador to UNESCO from 1998 until his death in 2005.
Mamadou Kamara Dékamo is a Congolese political figure and diplomat. He has been Congo-Brazzaville's Ambassador to Italy since 2000 and was previously Minister of Health in the government of Congo-Brazzaville from 1997 to 1999. He's the father of Hilley Bandhiougou Kamara, substitute MP of Impfondo's second constituency (Congo) and comrade member of Congolese Labor Party's central committee (PCT).

Tulinabo Salama Mushingi is an American diplomat who has served as the United States ambassador to Angola and the United States ambassador to São Tomé and Príncipe since 2022. He previously served as the United States ambassador to Burkina Faso from 2013 to 2016, and a joint appointment as United States ambassador to Senegal and United States ambassador to Guinea-Bissau from 2017 to 2022. Nicolas Bernard Fiévé is a French historian of Japanese Architecture; he was born in Paris in 1959 and is the son of the cinema decorator, Bernard Fiévé. In 1993, he became a member of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and in 1996 he joined the Collège de France’s Japanese Civilization research team. In 2007, he was elected Professor at the Historical and Philological Sciences Department at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE), where he teaches the history of pre-modern Japanese urbanism, architecture and gardens. He is a member of the Accademia Ambrosiana, Milan. Nicolas Fiévé is currently Director of the École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), or French School of Asian Studies.
