Lauri Eero Ilmari Korpinen (born 28 April 1946) has served as Finnish Ambassador to Malaysia and Brunei since June 2004.
Korpinen started his career at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1973. [1] He has previously worked at the Finnish Consulate General in Hamburg, the Permanent Representation at Geneva and in Addis Ababa, Warsaw, Washington and London Embassies. Between 2000 and 2004, Korpinen served as Ambassador to Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Lauri Kristian Relander was the second president of Finland (1925–1931). A prominent member of the Agrarian League, he served as a member of Parliament, and as Speaker, before his election as President.
Lauri Allan Törni, later known as Larry Alan Thorne, was a Finnish-born soldier who fought under three flags: as a Finnish Army officer in the Winter War and the Continuation War ultimately gaining a rank of captain; as a Waffen-SS captain of the Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS when he fought the Red Army on the Eastern Front in World War II; and as a United States Army Major when he served in the U.S. Army Special Forces in the Vietnam War.
Lars (Lauri) Johannes Ingman was a Finnish theologian, bishop and politician. He was born in Teuva. In 1906 he began to serve as the editor of Vartija, a Christian magazine. From 1916 to 1930 he was the professor of practical theology in the University of Helsinki. He was also a member of the conservative National Coalition Party, where he acted as the speaker of the parliament and a minister in several cabinets, and served as the Prime Minister of Finland twice, in 1918–1919 and 1924–1925. In 1930 he was elected Archbishop of Turku, head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. He died in Turku.
The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school. The original band members were Lauri Ylönen, Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1999 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Pauli Rantasalmi left the band and was replaced by guitarist Emilia "Emppu" Suhonen in 2022. Best known for their 2003 hit single "In the Shadows", the band has sold over 5 million albums worldwide and 350,000 albums in Finland alone, and has won numerous awards, both domestic and international. The band represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Jezebel".
Lauri Aleksanteri Lehtinen was a Finnish long-distance runner, winner of a controversial 5000 m race at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Lauri Johannes Ylönen is a Finnish singer-songwriter, best known as the co-founder and frontman of the Finnish alternative rock band The Rasmus.
Lauri Porra is a Finnish bass guitarist and composer who has written scores for films and other media, as well as commissions from orchestras such as the Lahti Symphony and the Finnish Radio Symphony. He is also known for his work as the bass guitarist in the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius. Porra is a fourth generation musician, and the great-grandson of famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
Lauri Tukonen is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who currently plays for Lukko Rauma of the Finnish Liiga. Tukonen has played in North America for the Los Angeles Kings organization and is a former member of Finnish clubs, Espoo Blues, Ilves and TPS.
Elonkerjuu is a Finnish folk rock band. Lauri Tähkä founded the band in the mid-1990s and it was known from 1994 until 2011 as Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu. They were signed since 2006 with Universal Music Finland. In 2011 Lauri Tähkä left the band and started his solo career. The band shortened their name to the current form. In 2012 Juha Lagström was chosen as the new lead singer. The current singer is Osku Ketola, who has been in the band since 2017.
Vyborg is a town and the administrative center of Vyborgsky District in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It lies on the Karelian Isthmus near the head of Vyborg Bay, 130 km northwest of St. Petersburg, 245 km east of the Finnish capital Helsinki, and 38 km south of Russia's border with Finland, where the Saimaa Canal enters the Gulf of Finland. The most recent census population of Vyborg is 72,530 (2021 Census).

The Finnish Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour. It was first played at Golf Talma in Talma, Finland, from 2001 to 2003, but took a hiatus from 2004 to 2011. The 2012–14 editions of the tournament were played at the Kytäjä Golf Club in Kytäjä, Hyvinkää, Finland. The 2015 tournament was played at Aura Golf Club in Turku. From 2016 to 2023, the tournament was played at the Vierumäki Resort in Vierumäki.

Lauri Elias Markkanen is a Finnish professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and for the Finland national team. Nicknamed "the Finnisher", he is the son of Finnish basketball players Pekka and Riikka Markkanen, and the younger brother of footballer Eero Markkanen.

Between 1956 and 1963 he first served as Envoy, then ambassador to Rio de Janeiro, Warsaw from 1963 to 1967 as ambassador, as well as Budapest 1969-1973. His father was Prime Minister and Archbishop Lauri Ingman.
Leif Richard Fagernäs is the former CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries (2004–10). Prior to the appointment of the Finnish Ambassador to Berlin, he was CEO of the Confederation of Industry and Employers. His predecessor was Kalevi Hemila.

Anna-Liisa Korpinen was a Finnish politician. She represented Lapland in the Parliament of Finland as a member of the Finnish People's Democratic League from 1951 to 1974. In 1968, she was appointed as Minister of Social Affairs by prime minister Mauno Koivisto, and was the Minister of Social Affairs and Health in prime minister Ahti Karjalainen's government from 1970 to 1971.
