Lavinia Tagane-Kanimoa (born ~1991) [1] is a Wallisian politician and member of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna.

Tagane-Kanimoa was born in Wallis and is the daughter of a former member of the Territorial Assembly. [2] After completing high school she studied in France, completing a diploma in marketing at Châtellerault and then a touris degree and a masters in commerce in Bordeaux. [2] After working in France in the e-commerce sector, she returned to Wallis. [2]

She was first elected to the Territorial Assembly in the 2017 Wallis and Futuna Territorial Assembly election, where she ran on a youth platform. [1] In 2017 she also served as alternate to French National Assembly member Napole Polutele. [3] She was re-elected to the Territorial Assembly at the 2022 election. [4]

In 2018 she was appointed to the jury of the International Oceanian Documentary Film Festival. [5]

The Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna is the legislature of Wallis and Futuna. It consists of 20 members, elected for a five-year term by proportional representation in multi-seat constituencies. The Assembly sits in Mata Utu, the capital of the territory.

Territorial Assembly elections were held in Wallis and Futuna on 25 March 2012. Thirty party lists contested to fill the twenty seats. The major election issues were the cost of living, economic development, and wallis and Futuna's relationship with France. Turnout was 85.95%.

Petelo Sea was, from 2014 to 2016, tuiagaifo (king) of the Kingdom of Alo, one of the three traditional kingdoms located in the French Overseas Collectivity of Wallis and Futuna.

Nivaleta Iloai is a politician from Wallis and Futuna. She served as the president of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna from April 1 to December 11, 2013; she was the first woman to hold that position. She is a member of the Union socialiste pour Wallis-et-Futuna, and represented the constituency of Hihifo. She was replaced as president by Petelo Hanisi. She was again elected president of the Territorial Assembly on November 26, 2020.

A by-election was held in Wallis and Futuna's 1st constituency on 15 April 2018. The by-election was called after the Constitutional Council invalidated the election of Napole Polutele, miscellaneous left candidate in the June 2017 legislative elections and member of the UDI, Agir and Independents group in the National Assembly, on 2 February 2018. Sylvain Brial defeated outgoing deputy Polutele in the first round of the by-election on 15 April.

Mikaele Kulimoetoke is a Wallisian politician and member of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna. He was president of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna from 2014 to 2017. He has represented Wallis and Futuna in the Senate of France since 2020.

Mikaele Seo is a Wallisian politician and member of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna. Since 2022 he has represented Wallis and Futuna in the French National Assembly.

Lauriane Tialetagi Vergé is a Wallisian politician and member of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna. She was the first woman in Wallis and Futuna to run for the French National Assembly. She is the wife of former MP David Vergé.
