Ian Terence Botham,Baron Botham,is an English cricket commentator,member of the House of Lords,a former cricketer who has been chairman of Durham County Cricket Club since 2017 and charity fundraiser. Hailed as one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of the game,Botham represented England in both Test and One-Day International cricket.
An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally,most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. Some wicket-keepers have the skills of a specialist batter and have been referred to as all-rounders,but the term wicket-keeper-batter is more commonly applied to them,even if they are substitute wicket keepers who also bowl.

In the National League,they hovered around mid-table for most of the season,before a run of three unbeaten games at the end of August sent them out of the relegation zone,and they finished the season in fourth place. In the C&G Trophy,they were knocked out at the second round stage by eventual champions Hampshire,while the Twenty20 campaign saw them finish bottom of their group with two wins from eight matches.
Hampshire County Cricket Club played their cricket in Division One of both the County Championship and the National League in 2005. They started the season at 10–1 odds to win the Championship. With the first eleven including seven players who had represented their country at Test or ODIs at the end of the season,they nearly won the County Championship,beating eventual County Champions Nottinghamshire both home and away,and ended with the same win–loss record as Notts. However,with two bonus points less and half a point deducted due to a slow over rate against Sussex in July,they finished behind –something that had been apparent the week before the Championship ended. They did win the C&G Trophy,defeating three League Division Two sides and a minor county on the way to the title,in addition to Glamorgan from Division One,but their other limited-overs forays ended in relegation and elimination due to head-to-head results in the Twenty20 Cup.
Charlotte Marie Edwards is an English former cricketer and current cricket coach and commentator. She played primarily as a right-handed batter. She appeared in 23 Test matches,191 One Day Internationals and 95 Twenty20 Internationals for England between 1996 and 2016. She played domestic cricket in England for East Anglia,Kent,Hampshire and Southern Vipers,as well as overseas for Northern Districts,Western Australia,Perth Scorchers,South Australia and Adelaide Strikers.
Nic Pothas is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer who played as a right-handed batsman and fielded as a wicket-keeper. In a total of over 200 first-class matches,he has taken over 500 catches. Pothas is an accomplished batsman,with an average of over 40 in first-class cricket.
Christopher Charles Benham is an English cricketer. Benham is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born at Frimley,Surrey. He attended Yateley School across the county border at Yateley in Hampshire. Making his debut at the professional level for the Hampshire Cricket Board in 2001,he spent nine years playing for Hampshire,before being released by the county after the 2010 season. He is now playing club cricket for Wimbledon CC in the Surrey Championship Premier League whilst working as a financial planner at St James's Place Wealth Management.

Adrian Dimitri Mascarenhas is a former English cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler,he played internationally for England,as well as domestically for Hampshire. He holds the record for most runs in an over in a One Day International for England,with 30,scored off Yuvraj Singh of India on 5 September 2007. He was the bowling coach for both Otago Volts and the New Zealand national cricket team. The 2005 Cheltenham &Gloucester Trophy was the 4th Cheltenham &Gloucester Trophy,an English county cricket tournament,held between 3 May and 3 September 2005. The competition was contested by all 18 first-class counties,as well as 10 minor counties and the national teams of Scotland,Ireland,the Netherlands and Denmark,to make up a full 32-team tournament. The final was won by the Hampshire Hawks,who beat the Warwickshire Bears by 18 runs at Lord's on 3 September 2005.

The 2010 Twenty20 Cup Final,known for sponsorship purposes as the 2010 Friends Provident t20 Final,was a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between Hampshire County Cricket Club and Somerset County Cricket Club played on 14 August 2010 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. It was the eighth final of the Twenty20 Cup.
