He resigned from the legislative council after being elected to the legislative assembly.

Lalji Tandon was an Indian politician who served as the 18th Governor of Madhya Pradesh and 28th Governor of Bihar. Ram Chandra Vikal Gurjar was a freedom fighter. He was an agriculture minister and was elected twice as a Member of Parliament as well as a five-time Member of the Legislative Assembly. He had charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the governments of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. He was also a well known yoga teacher. Vikal was influenced by the ideology of the Arya Samaj from childhood and participated in the freedom movement from his student days. An agriculturist,Vikal championed the cause of the farmers,labourers and backward classes,and was instrumental in implementing various social welfare measures such as getting irrigation rates reduced and land revenue written off.
Dinesh Sharma is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. He was the Deputy Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh from 2017 to 2022. He was previously the mayor of Lucknow. A professor by profession,he is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and he has held various posts in the party.

Keshav Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician,currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maurya was associated with a right-wing Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh,before entering active politics through BJP. He was also involved in cow protectionism in his early life. Before 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections,he was made state president of the BJP,and after the victory of BJP,he was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in the first Yogi Adityanath Government. Maurya again contested the legislative assembly elections in 2022 from Sirathu Assembly constituency,losing to Pallavi Patel of Samajwadi Party. However,he was given a second term as Deputy CM in the second Yogi Adityanath government.

He campaigned in the 2017 Municipal Corporation of Delhi election successfully from the West Patel Nagar ward and became the Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation in April 2018,remaining in office till 29 April 2019. He was appointed president of Delhi BJP on 2 June 2020 by the National President of the BJP,Jagat Prakash Nadda,following the resignation of Manoj Tiwari. On 11th December 2022,he stepped down from the post of State BJP President after the party's loss in the MCD Elections of 2022. He was replaced by Virendra Sachdeva.
