Leah Andreone (born May 24, 1972) is an American musician.
Andreone was born and raised in San Diego and attended Helix High School in La Mesa. While attending San Diego State University, she also spent time in Los Angeles, singing at night. Eventually she moved to LA, worked during the day and sang in various clubs at night.
Andreone's first album, Veiled , produced by Rick Neigher, was released by RCA in 1996. It included the hit single "It's Alright, It's OK", which charted in the U.S., [1] Europe, [2] [3] [4] and Australia. [5] It was introspective whereas her next album, Alchemy , was more sexual and intimate. Andreone's lyrics are often treatises on psychology, reflecting her interest in the subject.
After Alchemy, Andreone continued to write and perform. She collaborated with other artists and writers, such as Billy Steinberg, Kevin Fisher, Rob Hyman, Eric Bazilian, Marti Frederiksen, Charlie Clouser (Nine Inch Nails), John Shanks, David Lowery (Cracker), John Lowery (Marilyn Manson), Kasia Livingston, Kay Hanley (Letters To Cleo), Michelle Lewis, and Martha Davis (The Motels). She has also worked as a producer and toured with Lilith Fair.
Andreone contributed a cover version of Carole King's, "I Feel the Earth Move" to the Speed 2: Cruise Control soundtrack. She also released the Veiled era song, "We're Not Alone" to the Women For Women 2 album, proceeds from which went to the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations. In August 2008, she released a cover version of "You Are My Sunshine" on the compilation CD UndisCOVERed.
In 2006, Andreone released an EP of new material entitled UNLABELED - The Demos , which contains a cover version of Beyoncé Knowles's "Deja Vu". On September 1, 2009, she released a new full-length CD entitled Avalanche (written and produced by Andreone and Kevin Fisher). Avalanche includes a co-written duet with Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Dixie Chicks, etc.). A video was released for the first single, "Never Stop Trying".
As of 2021, Leah has not released any material since a 2017 track via Bandcamp [6]
Fine Young Cannibals (FYC) was a British pop rock band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1984 by bassist David Steele, guitarist Andy Cox, and singer Roland Gift. Their self-titled 1985 debut album contained "Johnny Come Home" and a cover of "Suspicious Minds", two songs that were top 40 hits in the UK, Canada, Australia, and many European countries. Black Box is an Italian house music group popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group is currently made up of DJ Daniele Davoli, classically trained clarinet teacher Valerio Semplici, keyboardist and electronic musician Mirko Limoni, and vocalist Celestine Walcott-Gordon. French fashion model Katrin Quinol joined the act in 1989 and became the official face of Black Box, appearing on the cover of their single and album releases as well as in music videos, including the hit "Ride on Time", which was the highest-selling single of 1989 in the UK. The following year, it was revealed that Quinol was lip-syncing and had not performed on the recording. American singer Martha Wash performed the majority of the songs on the group's debut album, Dreamland, while being uncredited.
Spiderbait is an Australian alternative rock band from Finley, New South Wales, formed in 1991 by bass guitarist and singer Janet English, drummer and singer Kram, and guitarist Damian Whitty. In 2004 the group's cover version of the 1930s Lead Belly song "Black Betty" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart. They have five top 20 albums: The Unfinished Spanish Galleon of Finley Lake (1995), Ivy and the Big Apples (1996), Grand Slam (1999), Tonight Alright (2004), and Greatest Hits (2005). The group have won two ARIA Music Awards with the first in 1997 as 'Best Alternative Release' for Ivy and the Big Apples and the second in 2000 as 'Best Cover-Art' for their single "Glockenpop". Between 2004 and 2013 the band was on hiatus to concentrate on solo projects and their personal lives - although periodically returning for occasional gigs. In November 2013 the band released its first studio album in nine years, Spiderbait.

Alchemy: Dire Straits Live is a double album and the first live album by British rock band Dire Straits, released on 8 February 1984 by Vertigo Records internationally, and by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. Recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 22–23 July 1983, the album features songs from the band's first four albums, the ExtendedancEPlay EP and Mark Knopfler's Local Hero soundtrack. Many of the songs have reworked arrangements and extended improvisational segments. The album cover is taken from a painting by Brett Whiteley.

Alright, Still is the debut studio album by English singer Lily Allen, released on 13 July 2006 by Regal Recordings. After being rejected by several record labels, Allen signed to London Records, who eventually lost interest in her, leading her to meet production duo Future Cut and sign to Regal Recordings. Recording for the album began in 2004 with sessions between Allen and Future Cut, and Allen's work garnered publicity on the internet as she posted demos to her MySpace account before they were officially released.
