Once the United Kingdom is effectively out of the European Union in a legal basis as a result of Brexit, 5 additional seats would be allocated to Spain. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in twelve autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain.

Coalition for the Europe of the Peoples was a Spanish electoral list in the European Parliament election in 1987 made up from regionalist parties.

Federation of Regional Parties was a Spanish electoral list in the European Parliament election in 1989 made up from several centre-right regionalist parties. Navarrese People's Union (UPN) and the Regionalist Aragonese Party (PAR) were initially also expected to join the Federation, but chose to support the newly-founded People's Party (PP) instead.

The 1980 Catalan regional election was held on Thursday, 20 March 1980, to elect the 1st Parliament of the autonomous community of Catalonia. All 135 seats in the Parliament were up for election. This was the first regional election to be held in Catalonia since the Spanish transition to democracy and the second democratic regional election in Catalan history after that of 1932.

Together for Catalonia (2017) Political party in Spain

Together for Catalonia is an electoral and parliamentary alliance in Catalonia, registered as a political party in the interior ministry in July 2018, originally envisaged as a platform comprising the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT), successor of the late Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC), and independents and centered around the candidacy of former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont ahead of the 2017 Catalan regional election. Coalition for a Solidary Europe Political party in Spain

Coalition for a Solidary Europe is an electoral list of regionalist parties formed to contest the 2019 European Parliament election in Spain. The list is the de facto successor of the Coalition for Europe of 2014, and is formed by the Basque Nationalist Party (EAJ/PNV), Canarian Coalition–Canarian Nationalist Party (CCa–PNC), Commitment to Galicia (CxG), Proposal for the Isles, Valencian Democrats (DV) and Yes to the Future (GBai).

The Movimiento Independiente Euro Latino (MIEL) is a Spanish political party founded in 2019. Among its aims are the representation of Latin Americans in Spain and Europe, and the promotion of science and research as engines to build better societies.
