Lefteris Papadimitriou is a Greek composer and performer.
He was born in Volos, Greece. He studied composition with Iannis Ioannidis and has written many compositions for live instruments and electronic media.
He is a graduate of the Department of Musicology of the University of Athens.
He plays live electronic music with a laptop as his instrument. A live work, entitled “Jollywood”, was based entirely on MIDI sounds.
He is interested in applying electronic techniques to acoustic music and in the exploration of acoustic musical expressiveness in the medium of electronic music.
In 2006, he won the Gaudeamus International Composers Award with his work for piano and orchestra, titled “Black and White”. [1]
He is currently[ when? ] studying for a PhD in composition at the University of Huddersfield with the support of a scholarship from the Huddersfield contemporary music festival and the Centre of Research in New Music.[ citation needed ]
Electroacoustic music is a genre of Western art music in which composers use technology to manipulate the timbres of acoustic sounds, sometimes by using audio signal processing, such as reverb or harmonizing, on acoustical instruments. It originated around the middle of the 20th century, following the incorporation of electric sound production into compositional practice. The initial developments in electroacoustic music composition to fixed media during the 20th century are associated with the activities of the Groupe de recherches musicales at the ORTF in Paris, the home of musique concrète, the Studio for Electronic Music in Cologne, where the focus was on the composition of elektronische Musik, and the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in New York City, where tape music, electronic music, and computer music were all explored. Practical electronic music instruments began to appear in the early 20th century.

Panayiotis Kokoras is an internationally award-winning composer and computer music innovator. Kokoras's sound compositions use timbre as the main element of form. His concept of "holophony" describes his goal that each independent sound (φωνή), contributes equally into the synthesis of the total (ὅλος). In both instrumental and electroacoustic writing, his music calls upon a "virtuosity of sound," emphasizing the precise production of variable sound possibilities and the correct distinction between one timbre and another to convey the musical ideas and structure of the piece. His compositional output is also informed by musical research in Music Information Retrieval compositional strategies, Extended techniques, Tactile sound, Augmented reality, Robotics, Spatial Sound, Synesthesia. He is founding member of the Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association (HELMCA) and from 2004 to 2012 he was board member and president.

Michail Travlos was born in 1950 in Piraeus, Greece. He started his musical studies at Athens National Conservatory in 1970 with Michalis Vourtsis. In 1975, he was accepted to the Hochschule das Künste Berlin, where he studied composition with Isang Yun until 1980, when he obtained his diploma in Music Composition. He lives in Piraeus as an independent composer and professor of theory and composition. He taught at the Hellenic Conservatory (1980-1982), the Contemporary Conservatory (1987-1996) and at the "Nikos Skalkotas" Conservatory (1982-2014) where he was also the artistic director (1989-2014). From 2015 he teaches music theory and composition at the Conservatory of Modern Art in Anavissos.

He is now a full-time composer, but used to teach part-time at Bishop Ramsey School, Ruislip, Middlesex and Alperton Community School in Wembley. He currently teaches composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire part of BCU.
Live electronic music is a form of music that can include traditional electronic sound-generating devices, modified electric musical instruments, hacked sound generating technologies, and computers. Musical improvisation often plays a large role in the performance of this music. Yannis Kyriakides is a composer of contemporary classical music, and sound art. His music explores new forms and hybrids of media, synthesizing disparate sound sources and highlighting the sensorial space of music. He has focused in the majority of his work on ways of combining traditional performance practices with digital media, particularly in the use of live electronics. Henry Vega is a composer and Electroacoustic musician from New York City, currently living in The Hague, Netherlands. He founded The Spycollective in 2006, a now defunct music, theater and dance group, and is a founding director of Artek Foundation. Vega has been composing and performing internationally since 2001 and is also a founding member of The Electronic Hammer trio with Diego Espinosa and Juan Parra Cancino. He is married to Polish composer Kasia Glowicka.
