Leisha Alcia (born March 25, 1982) is a former Canadian soccer player who played as a goalkeeper.
Alcia attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she played 83 games for the women's soccer team from 2001 to 2004 and served as team captain. [1] She held the school records for career saves with 368, as well as single season goals against average (0.54) and save percentage, single season shutouts (12), career shutouts (24) and consecutive shutouts (6), and single season saves. [2] She was part of their 2003 Big Ten Tournament championship team. Over her four years, she earned All-American honours in 2001 and 2004 and also was named to the All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament Team and she also won the Dike Eddleman Athlete of the Year award in 2003-2004. Alcia played for the Toronto Inferno in the USL W-League. [4] In 2003, she played for the Hampton Roads Piranhas. [1] In 2004, she played for the Ottawa Fury where she was named Goalkeeper of the Year, recording 11 shutouts. [5]
Alcia received her first callup to a U18 national team camp in 1999, followed by a U19 camp the following year. [6]
She earned her first call up to the senior team in 2002. She made her only appearance on November 1, 2006 at the 2006 Peace Queen Cup against the São Paulo state team, which played under the name of Brazil. [7]
Following her career at Illinois, she served as a student assistant coach with the team in 2005. Afterwards, in 2006, she joined Western Kentucky University as an assistant before returning to Illinois as an assistant once again in 2007. [8] [9] She later worked with the WPI Engineers women's team as an assistant. [1]

Brown played at the University of Illinois from 2002 to 2006, receiving numerous awards and accolades, including the 2005 Sporting News National Player of the Year. Brown was selected in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. Brown played for several international basketball teams from 2007 to 2015.
Briana Collette Scurry is an American retired soccer goalkeeper, and assistant coach of the Washington Spirit as of 2018. Scurry was the starting goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team at the 1995 World Cup, 1996 Summer Olympics, 1999 World Cup (champions), 2003 World Cup, and the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. She played in the semi-final and playoff for third place in the 2007 Women's World Cup. She was a founding member of the WUSA, playing three seasons as starting goalkeeper for the Atlanta Beat (2001–2003).

He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2008, and has also been a member of the Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Diego Chargers. He is currently a football analyst for the Big Ten Network.

Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's campus in Champaign. Illinois has one pre-tournament national championship and one non-NCAA tournament national championship in 1915 and 1943, awarded by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. Illinois has appeared in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament 32 times, and has competed in 5 Final Fours, 9 Elite Eights, and has won 18 Big Ten regular season championships.

The Illinois Fighting Illini men's ice hockey team is a college ice hockey program that represents the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. The Illini play on campus at historic 1,500-seat University of Illinois Ice Arena. They are a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) at the ACHA Division I level. The team is a member of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) within the ACHA. The team operates as a registered student organization (RSO) at the University of Illinois. The University does not currently have an NCAA varsity team, and thus the club team is the highest level of hockey offered by the University. A feasibility study published in March 2018, and commissioned by the NHL, NHLPA, and College Hockey, Inc., found a high probability of success for the hockey program to transition to NCAA Division I. Illinois however reversed course in May 2022, announcing that they were no longer exploring adding a varsity hockey program.
Jenna Smith is an American former professional basketball center. She was drafted in the second round of the 2010 WNBA draft by the Washington Mystics, having previously played college basketball for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini where she earned First team All-Big Ten honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2016, she was named assistant coach of the Indiana State Sycamores women's basketball team.

Rodney Adams "Rod" Fletcher was an American former basketball player for the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign who was named a consensus First Team NCAA All-American as a senior in 1951–52. A 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) guard, Fletcher led the Fighting Illini to two straight Big Ten Conference championships as well as two consecutive NCAA tournament Final Four appearances in 1951 and 1952 alongside teammate John "Red" Kerr. He was a two-time All-Big Ten selection in his three varsity seasons, and at the end of his collegiate career Fletcher was selected by the Minneapolis Lakers in the 1952 NBA draft, although he never played professionally.

The Illinois Fighting Illini men's golf team represents the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in the sport of golf. The Fighting Illini compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big Ten Conference. They play their home matches on the Stone Creek Golf Club five miles from the university's campus, and are currently led by head coach Mike Small. The Fighting Illini men's golf program has won 19 Big Ten championships and in 2013 finished as national runner-up at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, which was the highest finish in the program's history. 2017 was the fifth consecutive year, and sixth time in the last seven seasons, that the Fighting Illini advanced to the match play portion of the NCAA Men's Golf Championships. The Fighting Illini have advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship in three consecutive seasons, and in four of the last five years.
The Illinois Fighting Illini women's volleyball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, often referred to as "Illinois", located in Champaign, Illinois. The Illinois volleyball team competes in the Big Ten Conference and has played their home games in Huff Hall since 1990. Since moving into Huff Hall from the Kenney Gym, Illinois Volleyball has remained in the top 10 in the nation for average home attendance. In 2013, the program broke its previous home attendance record, averaging 3,117 per match.
