Leisha Alcia (born March 25, 1982) is a former Canadian soccer player who played as a goalkeeper.
Alcia attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she played 83 games for the women's soccer team from 2001 to 2004 and served as team captain. [1] She held the school records for career saves with 368, as well as single season goals against average (0.54) and save percentage, single season shutouts (12), career shutouts (24) and consecutive shutouts (6), and single season saves. [2] She was part of their 2003 Big Ten Tournament championship team. Over her four years, she earned All-American honours in 2001 and 2004 and also was named to the All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament Team and she also won the Dike Eddleman Athlete of the Year award in 2003–2004. Alcia played for the Toronto Inferno in the USL W-League. [4] In 2003, she played for the Hampton Roads Piranhas. [1] In 2004, she played for the Ottawa Fury where she was named Goalkeeper of the Year, recording 11 shutouts. [5]
Alcia received her first callup to a U18 national team camp in 1999, followed by a U19 camp the following year. [6]
She earned her first call up to the senior team in 2002. She made her only appearance on November 1, 2006 at the 2006 Peace Queen Cup against the São Paulo state team, which played under the name of Brazil. [7]
Following her career at Illinois, she served as a student assistant coach with the team in 2005. Afterwards, in 2006, she joined Western Kentucky University as an assistant before returning to Illinois as an assistant once again in 2007. [8] [9] She later worked with the WPI Engineers women's team as an assistant. [1]

Briana Collette Scurry is an American retired soccer goalkeeper, and assistant coach of the Washington Spirit as of 2018. Scurry was the starting goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team at the 1995 World Cup, 1996 Summer Olympics, 1999 World Cup (champions), 2003 World Cup, and the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. She played in the semi-final and playoff for third place in the 2007 Women's World Cup. She was a founding member of the WUSA, playing three seasons as starting goalkeeper for the Atlanta Beat (2001–2003).

She is the former coach of the Missouri Tigers women's basketball team at the University of Missouri from 1998 to 2010 and at Illinois Central College from 2012 to 2013. She was the head coach for the Cougars from April 3, 2012, until April 2, 2013, when she was named head coach of the SIU Women's basketball team.

Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's campus in Champaign. Illinois has one pre-tournament national championship and one non-NCAA tournament national championship in 1915 and 1943, awarded by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. The Illinois Fighting Illini men's ice hockey team is a college ice hockey program that represents the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. The Illini play on campus at historic 1,500-seat University of Illinois Ice Arena. They are a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) at the ACHA Division I level. The team is a former member of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) within the ACHA. The team operates as a registered student organization (RSO) at the University of Illinois. The university does not currently have an NCAA varsity team, and thus the club team is the highest level of hockey offered by the university. A feasibility study published in March 2018, and commissioned by the NHL, NHLPA, and College Hockey, Inc., found a high probability of success for the hockey program to transition to NCAA Division I. Illinois however reversed course in May 2022, announcing that they were no longer exploring adding a varsity hockey program.
Jenna Smith is an American former professional basketball center. She was drafted in the second round of the 2010 WNBA draft by the Washington Mystics, having previously played college basketball for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini where she earned First team All-Big Ten honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2016, she was named assistant coach of the Indiana State Sycamores women's basketball team.

The Illinois Fighting Illini women's volleyball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, often referred to as "Illinois", located in Champaign, Illinois. The Illinois volleyball team competes in the Big Ten Conference and has played their home games in Huff Hall since 1990. Since moving into Huff Hall from the Kenney Gym, Illinois Volleyball has remained in the top 10 in the nation for average home attendance. In 2013, the program broke its previous home attendance record, averaging 3,117 per match.
