Bank Street is the major commercial north-south street in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It runs south from Wellington Street in downtown Ottawa, south through the neighbourhoods of Centretown, The Glebe, Old Ottawa South, Alta Vista, Hunt Club, and then through the villages of Blossom Park, Leitrim, South Gloucester, Greely, Metcalfe, Spring Hill, and Vernon before exiting the city limits at Belmeade Road.
Old Ottawa South is an older urban neighbourhood in Capital Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Old Ottawa South is a relatively small and compact neighbourhood, located between the Rideau Canal and the Rideau River. The eastern boundary is Avenue Road. Bronson Avenue forms the western border of the residential neighbourhood. Carleton University is on the other (western) side of Bronson but the campus can be considered to be geographically within Old Ottawa South as the campus is also nestled between the river and the canal.
Wellington Street is a major street in Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada. The street is notable for being the main street of the Parliamentary Precinct of the Parliament of Canada. It is one of the first two streets laid out in Bytown in 1826. The street runs from Vimy Place, just west of Booth Street, to the Rideau Canal where it connects with Rideau Street and delimits the northern border of the downtown core. It is named after the Duke of Wellington, in recognition of his role in the creation of the Rideau Canal, and therefore of Ottawa.
The Senate of Canada Building is a building located at 2 Rideau Street in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada that serves as the temporary seat of the Senate of Canada. The building includes the temporary Senate chamber, as well as some Senate offices and committee rooms. The building served as Ottawa's central railway station until 1966, and from 1966 to 2018 it was operated by the federal government as the Government Conference Centre.
Barrhaven is a rapidly growing suburban neighbourhood in the southwest of the urban area of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, about 17 km (11 mi) southwest of downtown Ottawa. The Bytown and Prescott Railway (B&PR) was a railway joining Ottawa with Prescott on the Saint Lawrence River. The company was incorporated in 1850, and the first train ran from Prescott into Bytown on Christmas Day, 1854. The 84 km railway, Ottawa's first to outside markets, was initially used to ship lumber collected on the Ottawa River for further shipping along the St. Lawrence to markets in the United States and Montreal.
Billings Bridge is a bridge over the Rideau River in Ottawa. Bank Street passes over the river by way of this bridge. The bridge was named after Braddish Billings, who settled in this area and established a farm nearby in 1812. The first bridge, originally called Farmers Bridge, was built over the river here in 1830. The current bridge was built in 1916.

The Confederation Line, also called O-Train Line 1, is a light rail line operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, as part of the city's O-Train light rail system. The Confederation Line opened on September 14, 2019; it is the second O-Train line opened, operating on an east to west route, including under Queen Street in the downtown core, to complement the north to south Trillium Line which operates to the west of the downtown core. Using light rail rolling stock and technology, the Confederation Line is completely grade separated.
Country Place is a residential neighbourhood near the geographical centre of Ottawa, Canada and part of the former city of Nepean. It is a mature residential subdivision with about 400 houses located just inside the Ottawa greenbelt near the Rideau River, and about 11 km from downtown Ottawa. It is bordered by the Black Rapids Creek and the greenbelt to the south, Prince of Wales Drive to the east, Merivale Road to the west, and the Pineglen community to the north. Amberwood Crescent meanders through the community, exiting onto Prince of Wales and Merivale. Tennyson Drive links Country Place to Pineglen.
The O-Train is a light rail transit system in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada operated by OC Transpo. The system has two lines, the electrically-operated Confederation Line and the diesel-operated Trillium Line. Currently, Stage 2 construction has temporarily shut the Trillium Line. When it reopens the system will have been extended, along with the addition of two new lines, bringing the system's length to 64.5 km (40.1 mi), four lines and 41 stations. The O-Train network is fully grade separated and does not have any level crossings with roads.
The Adàwe Crossing is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, built across the Rideau River. It is located about 1,200 metres (1,300 yd) north (downstream) of the Highway 417 bridge and 800 metres (870 yd) south (upstream) from the Cummings Bridge. It was opened on December 4, 2015 and links the communities of Overbook and Sandy Hill.
