Leonid Enik was Minister for Culture of Abkhazia from 2001 until 10 March 2005. He was born in 1960 in the village of Mgudzurkhva in Gudauta District. [1]
On 29 January 2016,Leonid Enik was appointed as the new General Director of the Abkhazian State TV and Radio, [2] succeeding Emma Khojava,who had been dismissed,upon her own request,on 25 January. [3]
During his tenure,Enik was criticised by other journalists,in particular his predecessor Khojava. [4] In October,he announced that he wanted to resign due to ill health, [5] and on 4 November he was replaced by former Education Minister Tali Japua. [6]
The prime minister of Abkhazia is the de facto head of government of the partially recognized Republic of Abkhazia,that is de jure part of Georgia.
Sergei Shamba is a senior politician from Abkhazia. He is currently a member of the People's Assembly of Abkhazia and Chairman of United Abkhazia. He was Prime Minister of Abkhazia under President Sergei Bagapsh from 13 February 2010 until 27 September 2011. United Abkhazia is a political party in Abkhazia. United Abkhazia was founded on March 25,2004,as a socio-political movement,with the specific goal of presenting a single opposition candidate for the October 2004 presidential elections.
Gagra District is a district of Abkhazia. It corresponds to the Georgian district by the same name. In medieval times,it was known as the southern part of Sadzen. Beslan Butba is a businessman and a former Prime Minister of Abkhazia. He owns Abkhazia's only private television station Abaza TV and is the chairman of the Party of the Economic Development of Abkhazia. Butba was an unsuccessful candidate in the December 2009 presidential election.

In the past,he has served as Vice Speaker of the People's Assembly and as Head of Tkvarcheli District. Following the death of Gennadi Gagulia on 8 September 2018,Arshba was appointed Acting Prime Minister of Abkhazia,a position he held until 18 September 2018.

The Abkhazian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company is Abkhazia's public television and radio broadcaster,founded in 1976. Its sole TV channel,Apsua TV,started broadcasting on November 6,1976.
