Les Murakami (born June 1, 1936) [1] is a former head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors baseball team. During his coaching years, he won 1,079 games. The Les Murakami Stadium, home field of the Rainbow Warriors, was named in his honor in 2002. [2] [3]

Richard Hastings Tomey was an American football coach and player. Tomey served as the head football coach at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (1977–1986), University of Arizona (1987–2000), and San Jose State University (2005–2009), compiling a career college football record of 183–145–7. His last full-time coaching position was as the special teams coach at Hawaii in 2011 under head coach Greg McMackin, who resigned after the season. Tomey was not retained by McMackin's successor, Norm Chow. Tomey served as a head coach of the victorious West team in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game on January 11, 2013 at Kino Stadium in Arizona.
Peter Joseph Gillen is an American former college basketball head coach of the Division I, Providence Friars and Virginia Cavaliers and is a member of the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame. Gillen is currently a college basketball analyst with the CBS Sports Network.
Shane Patrick Victorino, nicknamed "The Flyin' Hawaiian", is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He was primarily a switch-hitter until the 2013 season, when discomfort from various hamstring, back, and knee problems forced him to become an exclusively right-handed batter.
Les Murakami Stadium is the baseball stadium at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The stadium was built in 1984 and renamed after legendary Rainbow coach Les Murakami for the 2002 season.
Christopher Kealoha Naeole is a former American football coach and player. He played college football as an offensive guard for the University of Colorado, where he was recognized as an All-American in 1996 and was drafted tenth overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1997 NFL Draft. Naeole also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to becoming a high school football coach by 2010, later serving as the offensive line coach for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

Jack Leggett is a retired American head college baseball coach. He was recently the head coach of the Clemson Tigers from 1994 to 2015. Under Leggett, the Tigers reached the College World Series six times. As of the end of the 2012 season, he had a career record of 1,224–694–1, with seven conference tournament titles and 23 NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warriors baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The team is a member of the Big West Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Hawaii's first baseball team was fielded in 1923. The team plays its home games at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors are coached by Rich Hill.
Richard Bradley Hill is an American baseball coach, who is the current head baseball coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. He was the head coach of the San Diego Toreros from 1999 to 2021. Prior to San Diego, Hill was the head coach of the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen from 1988–1993 and the San Francisco Dons from 1994–1998. He also managed the Chatham A's, a collegiate summer baseball team in the Cape Cod Baseball League from 1990 to 1993. Hill's career head coaching record is 850–570–3, as of the end of the 2013 season.
Ed Cheff was an American college baseball coach. He was the head coach for Lewis–Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, for 34 seasons (1977–2010), and was inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012.
Michel Trapasso is an American baseball coach and former pitcher who is currently the pitching coach for the UT Arlington Mavericks of the Western Athletic Conference. He played college baseball at Jefferson College before transferring to Oklahoma State. He then served as head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (2002–2021).
The 1938 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the 1938 college football season. Coached by William H. Spaulding, the Bruins finished the season with a 7–4–1 record and made their first postseason appearance in a bowl game. The Poi Bowl featured the Bruins playing the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on January 2, 1939, in Honolulu. The Bruins season offense scored 217 points while the defense allowed 106 points. George Pfeiffer and Hal Hirshon served as Co-Captains of the team. Center John Ryland was selected to the PCC First-Team All Coast and drafted by the Cleveland Rams of the National Football League (NFL) in 1939. The team also featured future Baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, Hollywood actor Woody Strode, Football Hall of Famer Kenny Washington. and Bill Overlin.

The UH athletics program is a member of the Big West Conference in most sports and competes at the NCAA Division I level. It comprises seven men's, 12 women's, and two coed athletic teams.

Led by first-year head coach Timmy Chang, the Rainbow Warriors play their home games at the Clarence T. C. Ching Athletics Complex as members of the West Division of the Mountain West Conference.
