Let the Record Play is the fifth studio album by American alt-rock group Moon Taxi. It was released on January 19, 2018, and was the band's first with RCA Records.
On May 5, 2017, Moon Taxi released a single, "Two High". [3] On November 17, 2017, Taxi and RCA Records announced that the band's fifth album, entitled Let the Record Play, would be released January 19, 2018. An eponymous single was released with the album announcement. [4] The news came a little bit more than two months after RCA had signed the band. [5] Moon Taxi lead vocalist Trevor Terndrup later said that the album had been finished before the deal with RCA came about. [6] "Good As Gold" was released as the third single off the album on December 8, 2017, [7] and "Not Too Late" was released as the fourth single off the album a week before the album's release. [8] Two High and Not Too Late both charted on the Adult Alternative Songs chart, with the former peaking at third position and the latter peaking at position 22. [9]

The name of the band came from SR-71 Blackbird, a supersonic surveillance aircraft of the United States Air Force. The band was originally known as Honor Among Thieves, and as would be the case with SR-71, lead singer Mitch Allan was the only constant member.

The Neighbourhood is an American rock band formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011. The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Alexander Fried. After releasing two EPs, I'm Sorry... and Thank You, The Neighbourhood released its first full-length album I Love You. on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. The same year, the EP "The Love Collection" was released; and in November 2014, a mixtape titled #000000 & #FFFFFF. A second album, Wiped Out! was released on October 30, 2015. On March 9, 2018, a self-titled third studio album came out, preceded by the release of two EPs: Hard on September 22, 2017, which briefly charted on the Billboard 200, and To Imagine on January 12, 2018. After the release of the album, the tracks from the extended plays not included on the final tracklisting were collected in another EP, Hard to Imagine. All song names use the British spelling of words hence the name of the band.

In 2014, he also formed the EL VY project with Brent Knopf of Ramona Falls and Menomena and released the album Return to the Moon in November 2015. In May 2020, Berninger shared the title track from his solo debut album, Serpentine Prison, which was released in October 2020.

Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2006, while a student at Kenyon College, deriving the band's name from the song "Walking on the Moon" by the Police. Bleachers is an American indie pop act based in New York City. It is the official stage name of songwriter and record producer Jack Antonoff, who is also part of the bands Steel Train, Fun, and Red Hearse. Bleachers' pop music is heavily influenced by the late '80s, early '90s and the high school-based films of John Hughes while still using modern production techniques. Their first single, "I Wanna Get Better", was released February 18, 2014.

Described as an indie pop, new wave and pop record, the album takes inspiration from multiple artists of the 1980s.
American rock band Walk the Moon has released four studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, seven extended plays, ten singles, four promotional singles, and nineteen music videos. Walk the Moon was formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio as Wicked in the Mix, originally consisting of Nicholas Petricca, Adam Reifsnyder, Sam Cole and Ricky Human, the former two having attended Kenyon College together. The group's first EP, entitled The Anthem, would be released later that same year in March. Wicked in the Mix later self-released their only studio album, WM in June 2007. The band's lineup would begin to go through several different member changes throughout the next three years, leaving Petricca as the only member from the original group.
