Levi Simeon Davis [1] (born 12 March 1998; disappeared 29 October 2022) was a British rugby union player who played as a winger. He is still known to be missing; at the time of his disappearance, he was a player with Worthing Raiders in the National League 2 South. He is suspected to have drowned.
Davis made his debut for Bath in 2017. [2] He made his first appearance for Bath in Premiership Rugby in October 2019 against the Bristol Bears. [3] In January 2020, Davis joined Ealing Trailfinders on loan for the remainder of the 2019–20 RFU Championship, making three appearances before the season was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. [4] In August 2020, having departed Bath, he joined Ealing on a permanent transfer signing a two-year deal. [5]
Levi joined Worthing Raiders in the autumn of 2021 making his debut in the away fixture at Henley Hawks. He scored his first try in a 28–26 defeat at home to Hinckley a week later.
Davis took part in The X Factor: Celebrity in late 2019, as part of the group Try Star, along with fellow rugby union players, Thom Evans and Ben Foden. They placed fifth in the competition. [6] [7]
In September 2020, Davis came out as bisexual. This made him the first professional rugby union player to come out as bisexual while still playing. [8]
He released his debut single, "With Me", under the name LEDA on 14 September 2022. [9]
In November 2022, Davis was reported missing after his former rugby club issued an appeal for information on his whereabouts, with him last being seen at a pub in Barcelona, Spain on 29 October. [10] His passport was located at a Barcelona port in November 2022. [11] He is suspected to have drowned in the sea near the city's commercial port, as a person matching his description was found drowning around the time of his disappearance. The attempt to rescue the person failed and the body was not recovered. [12]
Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club is an English professional rugby union club based in West London. The club's first team are the reigning RFU Championship champions of 2023–24 but were considered ineligible for promotion to Premiership Rugby as their home ground's capacity is too small. They were promoted to the league after they won National League 1 in 2014–15.
