The West Coast Conference (WCC) — known as the California Basketball Association from 1952 to 1956 and then as the West Coast Athletic Conference until 1989 — is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I consisting of nine member schools across the states of California, Oregon, and Washington.

Luke Cameron Harangody is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Divina Seguros Joventut of the Spanish Liga ACB. He completed his college career at the University of Notre Dame in 2010. He is the only men's player in the history of the Big East Conference to average 20 points and 10 rebounds per game in conference play for his career. He was the 2008 Big East Player of the Year, and was named to the second team on the 2008 Associated Press All-America team. He is also the first Notre Dame men's player to be a three-time first-team All-Big East selection (2008–2010), and the first men's player to lead the conference in both scoring and rebounding in consecutive seasons.
JaJuan Markeis Johnson is an American professional basketball player for New Basket Brindisi of the Lega Basket Serie A. He played college basketball at Purdue University. During his sophomore season, he was named a first-team All-Big Ten selection. As a junior, he was named a second-team All-Big Ten selection. As a senior, a first-team consensus All-American as well as the Big Ten Player of the Year and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
Quincy Coe Pondexter is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is an assistant coach for the Washington Huskies men's team. He played high school basketball in Fresno, California, at San Joaquin Memorial High School. Pondexter played four years of college basketball at the University of Washington. At the end of his senior season, he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press.
The Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team is an American college basketball team that represents Pepperdine University in NCAA Division I, the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Waves compete in the West Coast Conference and are coached by Lorenzo Romar. The Waves have competed in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament 13 times and are 3rd all-time in WCC Tournament wins and championships. Thirty-eight former Waves have been drafted or played in the NBA including Doug Christie and Dennis Johnson, an inductee of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The most recent Waves drafted into the NBA are Kessler Edwards (2021) and Maxwell Lewis (2023).
Clyde Clauthen Mayes Jr. is a retired American professional basketball player. He played in both the National Basketball Association (NBA) and in Europe for various teams. His international career took him to Italy, France and Spain over the course of 12 years. At 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) tall and weighing 225 pounds, Mayes primarily played the power forward position.

James Tahj Mainor-Bell is an American professional basketball player for Passlab Yamagata Wyverns of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for Villanova before playing professionally in Italy, France, Israel, Turkey and Croatia. Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, he moved to Orlando, Florida to attend Montverde Academy. In his senior year at Montverde, he averaged 18.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game to lead Montverde to a 23–5 record and was named a third team All-American by USA Today. Both his freshman and sophomore years at Villanova were hampered by injuries to his leg and ankle. He increased his scoring average to 8.6 points per game as a junior to lead Villanova to the NCAA tournament.
Anthony Lavell Reed is an American former professional basketball player. After playing high school basketball in his native state of Louisiana, Reed played college basketball at Tulane, being named the Metro Conference Freshman of the Year and gaining all-conference selections in each of his 4 seasons. He ended his career at Tulane as the all-time leading scorer with 1,896 total points and as the 4th best rebounder in program history with 871 total rebounds. Reed was selected in the second round of the 1993 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls but was waived before the start of the NBA season, and he moved to Europe where he played in Croatia, Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Cyprus. He also played in Venezuela and ended his career in 1999 after one season in Japan. In 2015 he was inducted in the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
Colbey Ross is an American professional basketball player for Derthona Basket of the Italian LBA and the Basketball Champions League (BCL). He played college basketball for the Pepperdine Waves.
