Liam Craig Gordon (born 26 January 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Scottish Premiership club Motherwell.
Gordon played for Dundee and Raith Rovers at youth level before John McGlynn took him to Hearts on a three-year contract, initially playing for Hearts youths where he played in the 2014 Youth Cup final losing to Rangers on penalties (he missed the penalty to win it for Hearts) before spending six months on loan at Arbroath during the 2014–15 season in the process. He was signed for his boyhood heroes St Johnstone by Tommy Wright in 2015, [2] [3] moving on loan to Elgin City shortly afterwards. [4] He made his debut for St Johnstone in May 2016, starting in a 2–2 draw against Hearts. [5]
In January 2017, Gordon, along with fellow Saints defender Aaron Comrie, moved on loan to Scottish League One side Peterhead until the end of the 2016–17 season. [6]
In July 2019, Gordon was ruled out for up to six weeks after he fractured his elbow in training. [7] on 6 December 2020, he captained St Johnstone for the first time, in a 1–1 draw away to Celtic. [2]
On 24 June 2024, Gordon joined Motherwell on a two-year deal upon the expiration of his contract with St Johnstone. [8]

St Johnstone
David McCracken is a Scottish football player and coach, whose last role was as co-manager of Falkirk between 2019 and 2021. McCracken, who played as a central defender, was a Scotland under-21 internationalist, having made five appearances at that level between 2001 and 2003. McCracken started his career with Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League and was a first team player there for seven years before leaving in May 2007. He subsequently played in England for Football League clubs Wycombe Wanderers, Milton Keynes Dons and Brentford before returning to Scotland with St Johnstone in 2011. He joined Falkirk in August 2013, playing with the club for four seasons, before finishing his playing career with Peterhead.
Graeme Smith is a Scottish football coach and former player. He played as a goalkeeper for several Scottish clubs, including Kilmarnock, Queens Park, Stenhousemuir, St Johnstone, Peterhead and Raith Rovers. Since retiring from playing in 2018 he has worked as a goalkeeping coach.

Paul Thomas Hanlon is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender. He began his senior career with Hibernian, making his debut in 2008, and went on to make over 500 appearances for the club. He also briefly played for St Johnstone on loan during the 2008–09 season.
