Daniel Liam Parsons (born June 27, 1977) is a Canadian rower. He was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Parsons won a bronze in the men's lightweight fours at the 2008 Summer Olympics with Iain Brambell, Mike Lewis and Jon Beare. [1]
Jacob Wetzel is a Canadian rower. He has represented both Canada and the United States at the World Championships and the Olympics. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Iain Brambell was born and raised in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Brambell is a three time Canadian Olympic rower having competed in Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. He is a graduate of Brock University and The University of Western Ontario.
Jon Beare was a Canadian rower. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he started rowing in 1988 and was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. In 1993, he participated in the Canada Games in Kamloops B.C. as a member of the Ontario Team. The team returned with a gold in the four, and a silver in the eight. The following year as a member of the National Team he won a bronze in the Men's Lightweight 8 at the 1994 Commonwealth Regatta in London, Ontario. He lived with his family in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, near Greater Victoria.

The first national team crew that he made was the 1998 development lightweight eight. He made the move to the heavyweight men's team in 1999 and competed at the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg.

Previous to this, he was 2006 Canadian National Rowing Gold medallist in the single scull and came 13th at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the double sculls.
The men's eight (M8+) competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing was held from August 11 to August 17 at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park. Seven of nine national teams returned from the men's eight competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics to compete again, joined by the host nation. A total of 75 competitors took part, with three substitutions made during the competition. The event was won by Canada, the nation's first victory in the men's eight since 1992 and third overall. The British team took silver, with the Americans finishing with the bronze medal.

He has also won one medal of every colour at the World Championships including being champion in the coxed pair in 2008 and a silver and a bronze in the eights in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
