The Life West Gladiators are an American rugby union club based in Hayward, California. They are the Men's team for Life Chiropractic College West. They compete in the Division I Pacific Rugby Premiership and are champions of the 2019 season. [1] [2]
They moved up to Division I after winning the Division II National Championship in 2015. [3]
Dr. Brian Kelly (former President of Life Chiropractic College West) and his colleague Dr. Bruce Chester, established Life West Rugby in late 2013. Dr. Kelly grew up in New Zealand and wanted to establish a top-level rugby program which was realized on January 11, 2014, when the Gladiators, played their first ever league match.
Dr. Kelly wanted to develop a program from the beginning that showcased excellence in rugby and chiropractic. He also wanted to enhance college pride and introduce chiropractic to a wider community. The program provided opportunities for students, alumni, chiropractors and the local community to be involved with the team. [4]

San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in San Francisco, California. SFGG's first side competes in the Northern California Rugby Football Union's Men's Division I, Women's Division II, and Pacific Rugby Premiership. The SFGG Youth Program includes high school Varsity, Junior Varsity, Frosh-Soph teams as well as U-12, U-10 and U-8 (non-contact) youth teams. Williams was also president of the International Chiropractors Association, serving as its seventh president from 1982 to 1985, and was an instrumental figure in the creation of Life Chiropractic College West.

The Western Premiership is a New South Wales, Australia rugby league competition. The competition commenced in April 2022. The competition incorporates the former Group 10 and Group 11 competitions by implementing a first past the post system to award silverware to the clubs who win the respective historic competitions. The top four from each conference will then compete in the Finals with the overall Western Conference winners progressing to the two week state NSWRL Presidents Cup finals against the Northern (Newcastle), Southern (Illawarra) and Ron Massey Cup (Sydney) conferences to crown the state semi-professional club champions.
Life West Gladiatrix are a women's rugby union club based in Hayward, California. The Gladiatrix are named after ancient female Gladiators who were fierce and ruthless in combat and were the equivalent of their male counterparts. They were formed in the fall of 2014 and took the field for the first time in January 2015.
The 2019 Pacific Rugby Premiership Season was the fifth edition of the competition. Life West Gladiators defeated Belmont Shore 36–27 to win the championship.
