The University of Wisconsin System is a university system of public universities in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is one of the largest public higher-education systems in the country, enrolling more than 174,000 students each year and employing approximately 39,000 faculty and staff statewide. The UW System is composed of two major doctoral research universities, the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, along with eleven comprehensive universities and thirteen freshman-sophomore branch campuses.
Little Chute is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 10,449 at the 2010 census. It is immediately east of the city of Appleton, Wisconsin and runs along the Fox River.

Green Bay is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The county seat of Brown County, it is at the head of Green Bay, a sub-basin of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Fox River. As of the 2020 Census, Green Bay had a population of 107,395, making it the third-largest in the state of Wisconsin, after Milwaukee and Madison, and the third-largest city on Lake Michigan, after Chicago and Milwaukee.
Green Bay is an arm of Lake Michigan, located along the south coast of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and the east coast of Wisconsin. It is separated from the rest of the lake by the Door Peninsula in Wisconsin, the Garden Peninsula in Michigan, and the chain of islands between them, all formed by the Niagara Escarpment. The Fox River is a river in eastern Wisconsin in the Great Lakes region of the United States. It is the principal tributary of Green Bay, and via the Bay, the largest tributary of Lake Michigan. The well-known city of Green Bay, one of the first European settlements in North America, is on the river at its mouth on lower Green Bay.
Lake Winnebago is a shallow freshwater lake in the north central United States, located in east central Wisconsin. At 137,700 acres, it is the largest lake entirely within the state, covering an area of about 30 miles by 10 miles with 88 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 15.5 feet, and a maximum depth of 21 feet. It has many shallow reefs along the west shore and a drop-off type shoreline on the east. There are several islands along the west shore.

The Meskwaki, also known by the European exonyms Fox Indians or the Fox, are a Native American people. They have been closely linked to the Sauk people of the same language family. In the Meskwaki language, the Meskwaki call themselves Meshkwahkihaki, which means "the Red-Earths", related to their creation story. Historically their homelands were in the Great Lakes region. The tribe coalesced in the St. Lawrence River Valley in present-day Ontario, Canada. Under French colonial pressures, it migrated to the southern side of the Great Lakes to territory that much later was organized by European Americans as the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa.

WPNE is a radio station licensed to Green Bay, Wisconsin. The station is part of Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), and airs WPR's "NPR News and Classical Network", consisting of classical music and news and talk programming. WPNE-FM also broadcasts regional news and programming from studios in the Instructional Services building at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, along with sister Ideas Network station WHID (88.1). WPNE-FM transmits from facilities shared with WBAY-TV, WIXX, and WPNE-TV in Ledgeview.
The Rideau River physically divides the city of Ottawa into east and west sections, with many green spaces along its banks. Some are controlled by the National Capital Commission (NCC), but most are under the city's Parks department. All of the park have some seating, usually benches and areas for walking. Many have picnic tables. In addition to the park, there are other place where footpaths run along the river banks that are available to the public.
The Shipyard District is a neighborhood along the west side of Fox River in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States. characterised by disused rail, industrial & maritimes sites on the river undergoing redevelopment. A Canadian National Railway freight line runs through the district. The commercial corridor of South Broadway is shared with the upland residential neighborhoods of Seymour Park and Tank Park.
