Fox River is a community located in the village of Salem Lakes, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. [1]
Salem Lakes, formerly the town of Salem and the village of Silver Lake, is a village in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. The village was created by municipal merger on February 14, 2017. In 2018 the population of the new village was an estimated 14,809. The communities of Benet Lake, Camp Lake, Fox River, Lake Shangrila, Salem, Salem Oaks, Silver Lake, Trevor, Voltz Lake, and Wilmot are wholly or partially located in the village.
Kenosha County is a county in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Its population in 2018 was estimated to be 169,290, making it the eighth most populous county in Wisconsin. The county is named after the county seat, Kenosha, the fourth largest city in Wisconsin.

A post office called Fox River was established in 1866, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1929. [2] The community was named from its location on the Fox River. [3]
The Fox River is a 202-mile-long (325 km) tributary of the Illinois River, flowing from southeastern Wisconsin to Ottawa, Illinois in the United States. The Wisconsin section was known as the Pishtaka River in the 19th century. There are two other "Fox Rivers" in southern Illinois: the Fox River and a smaller "Fox River" that joins the Wabash River near New Harmony, Indiana.

Kenosha is a city in and the county seat of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. Kenosha is on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan. With an estimated population of 100,164 as of July 1, 2018, it is the fourth-largest city in Wisconsin and the fourth-largest city on Lake Michigan. Although closer to Milwaukee, the city is part of the United States Census Bureau's Chicago Combined Statistical Area (CSA).

Elmhurst is an unincorporated community in Langlade County in the State of Wisconsin in the United States of America. It is located at latitude 45°3'30" North, longitude 89°11'3" West. The community is located near the headwaters of the Middle Branch Embarrass River, approximately 1½ miles west of the junction of WIS 47, WIS 52 and U.S. Highway 45 in the Town of Rolling. A track of the Chicago and North Western Railway runs along the west side of the community. Elmhurst is located at above sea level.
