Liga Dart Polska(League Darts Poland) is a series of amateur darts tournaments held in Poland, consisting of local qualifiers, from which 4 top players from each city participating in the competition advance to the grand final. The first edition of the series was held in 2023. First final stage was played in Falcon Bilard Club, Warsaw. [1] The first winner of the tournament was Łukasz Wacławski. [2]

Format

Qualifying events for amateur players are organised by local darts teams and held in various locations across Poland. 4 players qualify through these events. The tournament format involves holding 6 qualifying tournaments in each city participating in the competition. The format for each qualifying tournament is "first to 5 legs." In each local qualifying tournament, players accumulate points for the final standings of their respective cities, with the top 4 players from each city advancing to the grand finals. The format for the Liga Dart Polska finals is as follows (as of 2023):

First season (2023)

The inaugural season of the Polish Darts League (officially referred to as the "preseason") took place from March to June 2023. The finals were held at the Falcon Bilard Club in Warsaw.

Second season (2024)

The second season of the League Darts Poland (officially referred to as the "first season") took place from September to February 2024. The finals were held at the Przystanek Dartera (Darter's Stop) in Poznań.

The World Series of Darts was a professional darts tournament held from 19 to 21 May 2006 at the Mohegan Sun Casino, in Uncasville, Connecticut. It was the first and only edition of the competition, which was established by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) to capitalise on the potentially large North American market. It was the second of four PDC non-ranking events in the 2006 season and featured 32 players: 16 American entrants and 16 PDC players. There was a $1,000,000 bonus to the winner of the tournament if they were from the United States.

Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) is a professional men's club basketball league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation. The league changed to its current form, beginning with the 1997–98 season, after the Polska Liga Koszykówki SA, PLK SA took control over the league. In 2000–01 season the league turned professional.

The BoyleSports World Grand Prix is a PDC darts tournament traditionally held in Dublin, Ireland every October, but has taken place in Leicester, England since 2021. Its original venue was the Casino Rooms in Rochester, Kent in 1998 and 1999, and then for one year only in 2000 at the Crosbie Cedars Hotel in Rosslare, County Wexford. In 2001, the tournament moved further north to the Citywest in Dublin. In 2009, the tournament moved from the Reception Hall at the main Citywest Hotel, to the newly completed bigger venue on site, the Citywest Hotel Convention Centre. In 2012, the tournament moved back to the Reception Hall for that year, before returning to the Convention Centre in 2013. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 tournament was held at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, and since 2021, it has been held at the Morningside Arena, Leicester. The 2007 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship was the 14th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The tournament took place between 18 December 2006 – 1 January 2007. The championship was once again held at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet, Essex, where it had been staged since the first PDC World Championship in 1994. However, it would turn out to be the last time the tournament would be held at the Tavern: in April 2007, the PDC announced that the event would be moving to Alexandra Palace from 2008.

The 2007 Blue Square UK Open was the fifth year of the PDC's UK Open darts tournament where, following numerous regional qualifying heats throughout Britain, players competed in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament took place at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton, England, between 7–10 June 2007. Blue Square took over as title sponsor after Budweiser's three-year deal expired.


The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles winning 88. Phil Taylor is second on the list winning 70 events. Gary Anderson is in third winning 36 events and Peter Wright in fourth winning 33 events, as of April 2024.

The 2008 Blue Square UK Open was the sixth year of the PDC's UK Open darts tournament where, following numerous regional qualifying heats throughout Britain, players competed in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium, Bolton, England, between 5–8 June 2008.

The 2008 PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts was the second staging of the darts tournament, the Grand Slam of Darts organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event took place from 15 to 23 November 2008 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England. As with 2007, the tournament included players from both the PDC and BDO organisations.

The 2008 PartyPoker.net European Championship was the inaugural edition of the Professional Darts Corporation tournament, which thereafter was promoted as the annual European Championship, matching top European players qualifying to play against the highest ranked players from the PDC Order of Merit.

Krzysztof Ratajski is a Polish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. His biggest achievement to date was winning the 2017 World Masters. Ratajski also plays on the Professional Darts Corporation's ProTour and has represented Poland at the PDC World Cup of Darts on numerous occasions. He is the most successful darts player to come from Poland. Together with Krzysztof Kciuk, he is the world record holder in pairs match average.

The 2009 Las Vegas Desert Classic was a professional darts tournament staged from July 1 to July 5, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the eighth and final staging of the event since the original 2002 edition, and the fourth time it took place at the Mandalay Bay Resort. The tournament was the third of five Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) premier events in the 2009 season. Online gambling website PartyPower.com sponsored the tournament broadcast on Sky Sports.

Prakash Jiwa is an English-Indian professional darts player He has won a tour card through Qualifying School to compete in Professional Darts Corporation events on three occasions.

2015 SKYCITY Super League Darts is a darts tournament featuring New Zealand's top eight darts players. The event will be held at the SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, for four nights over July and August. This is the second year of the Tournament and the first that SKYCITY has been the naming rights sponsor. The final will be the first live televised darts tournament ever in New Zealand when it runs on Saturday 1 August.

The 2022 PDC World Darts Championship was the 29th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the now-defunct British Darts Organisation. It took place at the Alexandra Palace in London from 15 December 2021 to 3 January 2022.

The 2021 PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship was the eleventh edition of the PDC World Youth Championship, a tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation for darts players aged between 16 and 23. In a change from previous years, the whole tournament was played at Butlin's Minehead, Minehead, on 28 November 2021. The final took place on the stage, before the final of the 2021 Players Championship Finals.

Sebastian Białecki is a Polish professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. First Polish medalist in the WDF Europe Cup. He is also a Denmark Open champion, soft-tip Polish Champion and two-time Polish Junior Darts Champion. His other big achievements to date were three tournament victories on the PDC's Challenge and Development Tours, and reaching the quarter-finals in the 2022 UK Open.

The 2022 Australian Darts Open was the second edition of the Australian Darts Open organised by Darts Australia. The tournament was held at the Moama Bowling Club in Moama, Australia. Australian Darts Open has been added to the WDF calendar and has been awarded Platinum ranking status, with a total prize fund of A$80,000.
